Hi well I'm a student and now is my holidays,so I plan to get fit,I see my friends all going gym and stuff,so I also feel motivated flex.gif

My aim is just to get some muscles and train my stamina and get fit,I'm not really fat,but got a slight tummy so maybe I want to slim that part so I can get some abs brows.gif But no serious bodybuilding, huge muscles,or eating protein supplements here,or those 5x5 or stuff that I have no idea of,just a normal workout routine like push-ups,jogging,and some light dumbbells, and just eating a proper diet like 3 times a day, don't eat junk food, drink lots of water etc.

Now,I aim to do my workouts on weekdays,Monday to Friday, weekends maybe rest.So I don't think it's advisable to do push-ups,dumbbells,and cardio all in one day right?By cardio,I mean jogging,push-ups is push-ups la smile.gif and dumbbells is just those light ones,2kg blush.gif Do you guys think I should do push-ups and dumbbells in one day,and the next day, jogging, and the the day after that, back to push-ups and dumbbells? Before this,I usually just do push-ups and those dumbbells in one day,no jogging last time at all biggrin.gif

And also,I'm going to start my workout's at 4.30 in the evening,is that ok?Is there a certain time that I must start?I heard that 4-7 is the best time to workout,so I think 4.30 is ok right? biggrin.gif

And,when I do push-ups,I don't use my palm,I mean I use those kind of push-ups bar that u can buy frm Tesco,Giant, that's allright to use?

EDIT:And oh yea,I'm planning to incorporate this plan into my push-ups regimen:HundredPushups

1. It is not easy to build muscle.
2.To lose fat, do your cardio, maintain a healthy diet and do some body weight exercises if it makes you happy.
3.Just use your palms, why use all those gimmicks.
4. Have fun

Hey man. Its good that you feel motivated, but ask yourself, is it for the right reasons? Body building is a lifestyle, not a holiday program. Anyways!

Okay. Your aim is to get fit and have abs, which I'm guessing is to be like those male models. Anyways, like it or not, to gain muscle, you need protein. Protein (among other things) is the building blocks to build muscle. IF you're able to get enough protein from solid food, then you don't need a protein supplement. And those huge muscles you don't want, I doubt you can get it in the first place even if you tried. Its not something easy to achieve, so you don't have to worry about "over-training-and-becoming-the-Hulk". Abs are relatively simple by procedure to get. Just cut your body fat percentage to around 10%, and you'll be able to see them. And also keep in mind, there is NO such thing as spot reduction, meaning, just losing fat at your tummy. Do read the 6-Pack thread if you want to know more.

About your workout plan, try incorporating pull ups into it. Its an essential upper body exercise tool. And there's no exact optimum time to workout in my opinion. If the time is suitable, by all means, go ahead. I work out at 2am at times. Haha. Not knowledgeable enough to make/advice you on a workout plan, but try looking at the stickies for some ideas. Or, try Googling it up.

All the best man.

Haha,it's not gonna be a holiday program, what I mean is that since now is the holidays,I'm gonna start my workout routine, and stick with it until flex.gif flex.gif biggrin.gif

I guess I'm getting enough protein,I eat fish everyday, and I love eating eggs too,and also I drink milk for breakfast, and eat cheese for supper smile.gif About the abs,I guess that can wait, maybe, let me get rid of the fat in my tummy, and no,what I mean was that I just wanna lose my tummy..I didn't mean just concentrate on the tummymif u get what I mean rclxub.gif

Pull-ups hmm.gif I don't have any pull-ups bar at home,so maybe I have to go to the nearest playground,but it's damn dirty doh.gif

Wow,2 am shocking.gif Most ppl are asleep by then laugh.gif

Thanks for the advice man notworthy.gif

Edit:And also, just as an add-on info,I'm planning to incorporate this plan into my push-ups routine:HundredPushups

Before hand, please know several things first!

1. Building muscle is not as easy as just lifting the weights in gym. Train hard doesn't give you the muscles you want. So, don't be afraid that you will grow big muscle because they don't simply grow that easily.

2. Sleep is very important as it is part of the recovery or muscle building process. Have at least 8 hours of sleep daily.

3. Diet is the most important in bodybuilding. To build muscle, diet plays an important role and it is 60-70% of building the muscles while 30-40% is the effort in gym.

4. Beginner is always advised to practice on correct form and fundamental strength first before really trying on heavy weights. Do not let your ego kills you trying out those heavy weight which you cannot handle.

Since you can workout from Monday to Friday, separate your workout into 5 body part and work on 1 body part per day.

1.I see,but no,I didn't mean that I scared I will grow big muscles just by lifting weights,I just meant that there is no need to grow very big muscles yet.

2.Thanks for the info,I guess I do get enough sleep smile.gif

3.I see,diet plays a more important role hmm.gif Well,I guess I can say my diet's ok I guess

4.No,in fact I'm not going to a gym,I'm just doing it at home and my weights are just 2 kg lol blush.gif I will slowly increase it,I started off at 1kg anyways biggrin.gif

5.1 body part per day? That sounds confusing to me rclxub.gif I just want to do some simple weight lifting you know, like to build the biceps or triceps, just doing all those dumbbell movements,I don't know what they are called, but just lift it up and down smile.gif

6.I will do push-ups and dumbbells on Mondays,Wednesday, and Fridays, and do my cardio(jogging) on Tuesdays and Thursdays, that's ok right?

7.I shall be doing this plan for my push-ups:HundredPushups

Is that ok?

Yes, no worries about growing big muscles because those pictures of people that you see on the internet actually trained many many many years with very very very strict diet to achieve that. smile.gif

What I meant was, IF you do visit gym, daily workout routine should be something like this

Monday - Chest
Tuesday - Back
Wednesday - Shoulder
Thursday - Arm
Friday - Leg

Since you never visit any gym, you can get a pair of dumbbell for some simple workout

Push up will help to train your chest muscles and partly tricep

Shoulder Press will help to train ur shoulder

Bicep Curl for bicep

Check here for a list of what u can do with dumbbell

TL;DR

Hundred push ups + jogging + baby weights in a single session? It's like asking us how much you yourself can eat... Duh! How the heck are we supposed to know?
Just do it, and you'll quickly find out if you it's too much or too little.

And yes, there is a certain time you must start: ANYTIME.
