I will like to begin my very first step in Sound System/Home Theatre. Need your advise. I have below quotation from one of audio shop in PJ:

Is this a standard price or i can get it cheaper elsewhere? I am very new to sound system.
I am also open to any suggestion. but hopefully can get something less than 4k (AVR and speakers). Kinda on a tight budget here.

p/s: I dont have a dedicated room setup. Just using my living room. Prioritiy is on clarity of sound. i don need much "oomphhh" on Bass.

if you want bookshelf get mordaunt short aviano1 or aviano2 + aviano centre around 2.5k

my friend actually bought the Orb audio for USD1199 if not mistaken, and they do provide shipping into our country for around USD150.

I was so suprise to find that the quality of the small speaker is so good for movies. You might want to have a look as well :-)

hmm order from US..warranty is a problem right. abit hard for me
