nice. but i wonder will it be supported like other manufacturers, gingerbread is coming...

heck, this is what ive been waiting for, do we get taxxed??? for VAT??? isnt VAT for UK??? so we still have to pay?? coz their VAT is very heavy... it influences the pricetag alot.


Im definitely getting this or the huawei x6. cheap phones, and good hardware.

I just realize the Xenon Flash upgrade only 30 euros..that is about RM60 only right?

RM1500? Without tax or with tax? Hard to believe it tho. But yea, the specs and the customizing part is very attactive.

if its 2k plus, its for android enthusiast. not for ppl who want to try and jump boat.

This is for people who want a really powerful phone. Based on their preference.

If you understand, its not for low income... Because of its pricetag.

And you dont buy the phone without customizations ... they expect people to upgrade to 1gb ram, because no other phone has that. and the 12 mp.

At first I look at this news, I feel so excited that at last there's a customizable Android phone now..
But, WTH.. not to Asian region.. So, wait for Synapse One Asian which mean someone willing to be the dealer for Asian Pacific..
I dare to take risk to root or flash various customizable ROM to my device but this one..

They should have the option of QWERTY keyboard

if there was a custom rom, u need a specific match with the hardware the custom rom supports.. as different camera for an example comes with different drivers and such.. surely might be a pain.. hmm.. got many drawbacks of software apart of getting the best hardware u wish for

Unless the buyer is a Android programmer himself. He could write the kernels all by himself, then it's a perfect custom phone.

is this a company or just factory of some sort? how to get the update? will it have support?

having the device is one thing, but the support is as much as important, especially support from dev and not just the company.

ya, it will not support delivery to Asia yet. =(
but there's another problem which some of you had mentioned above, the custom ROM. like what they said, unless the buyer is a Android developer that can drive the kernel himself and make a ROM out of it. or else, you will only stick to the default froyo.

by the way, is it possible many users buy it and lastly XDA will put synapse one on it? last time i heard was, XDA was willingly to open forums to other brand other than XDA if there is enough developers, just like now.

depends on the bootloader. If its not trying to give hell to developers, most developers will be intrested in doing so, the price factor is also another issue. If they find it cheaper(they as in those from europe and china) then more willl buy. Just to let u know, they arent used to buying a Rm2000 phone, what they always get is a super subsidized 400-600rm phones from their telcos. Only we aseans are used to buying such expensive phones becoz none of our carriers are inteligent enuf to lower the price to below 1k for those great smartphones, and even if they do, its a bloody bllodsucker a month

Actually, no use to discuss about this customizable hardware phone as it's not available here for now and maybe never or in future time being like nobody know exactly when..
If synapse make it available all over the world then there'll be more point to discuss about such as which kernel can be used or any update plus feedback and rating for different users with different spec of phones..
