Stiebel Eltron IM60(EC)
Tankless HOT water heater
http://site.siemmah.com/main/3051/index.as...WD=N&AccId=7992

All that I asked for is just to have the same effect a Genting hot water or hotel's hot water. Those steaming ones...
The instant ones is not considered hot, it's called warm...

What I have in mind is just to install a tank boiler water heater but when I went shopping I was recommended a new technology.
The seller says that it's a Germany product but Made in Thailand for Asian market.
I'm kind of doubtful about the results but on the other hand the requirement to run that thing makes it possible.
Needing 32amp wire to run it. Eletricity bill shooting up!?! Better than leaving the boiler on...
The switch is the tap. On the tap, the heater runs. Off it, the heater is off. No tank, unlimited hot water. No forgetting to off the tank boiler.
Cool eh thumbup.gif

I'm about to invest into that thing. Just to make sure if the result is good.
At the same time is there another brand to consider?
Anyone using this heater or any other brand that functions the same?
Pls share your experince if U've got one... Thanking you in advance

I do sell that as well, it is something like a water heater. I tested the product and to be honest it is not hot enough if u wan to have rain shower or enjoy showers like Genting 5 star hotels. A storage heater would b better or get a solar heater if u have more than 3 person at home. Just drop by my showroom when u r free, could explain in more detail then.

As mentioned how about the other brands?
Solar is totally out of the question. Condo ma...

If any1 knows of a heater like what I mention pls advice the website.
Best if which shop can offers a good price for it.

Checked out the BeeBest website for the "C2" unit already.
Seems good but the other review on the after sales service sux ><"
Some also says that they have parts that's from China... but then the mentioned one is not this unit

this thing should work. i believe you need to set the delivery temp as needed. i use a rinnai whole house gas water heater. you just set the temp to whatever you like and you can surely get that even with 2 showers and 2 tabs running on hot water. no problem at at all (max. delivery of water with set temp for rinnai is 27l/min, more than enough).

I've called the sales office & was told that for best result I should go for the IM 80 instead. More than enough already...

That thing needed 40amp & 10mm wire just to jump start then it runs like any other water heater already. Graded as "energy efficient" water heater...
The starts only needing high power.

90% going for it.

I'm not to sure about gas.

The point is that if I use this thing I don't have to monitor it. Even leaving the main switch on is also okay. Perhaps to be safe is only off it when I goes out or at night time.

Since that U got hands on experince, how's the gas heater works? On when wanna use & off it back again? Have to monitor?

I'm concerned if there a small fire in it. Surely gas works with fire. There gotto be a way to light it up. Surely the switch is not the Water Mixer.

Safety comes 1st... Afraid that if I travel & forgot to off it then it just goes KABOOM!!! cry.gif

i've been using it for a good three years now (rinnai infinity 26 that is). its installed outside the house, gets a normal electric connection to make a spark and allow the computer inside to to its magic (i.e. monitor water flow and temp and adjust accordingly). i feed it gas from the cylinder and the only thing i need to do is change the cylinder whenever its empty. other than that no maintenance is required. we set the temp to 50° (you can make it higher or lower if you want, even have remote for it if required) and enjoy warm water. its very fast and very consitant - so that is really a nice point to consider. usage (if you use a dedicated cylinder) is about 1 cylinder every 2 1/2 months for a three ppl househole with approx. 2 warm showers per person per day and additional hot water from faucets, for the dishwasher (i feed it warm water cause it lower electrictiy consumption). i would say it surely is cheaper to run.

safety: no need to monitor albeit we disconnect the main gas pipe when we go for a longer holiday.

the fire is flow controlled. if you dont use water there is no activity. if you on hot water a flow is going through the heater and the flame will be ignited. so in a way the water mixer is your switch. no constant fire to be afraid of.

i would personally be more scared of a high amp-sucking electric water heater but that might just be me wink.gif

Nice heater & I've checked out the model that mentioned.

Another thing is where's the switch? I sees that there's a panel that's to be placed indoor & what about when we wanna take shower? Gotto press it everytime or just turn on the tap?

the panel is optional. you can also just buy the heater and set it to desired temp. the panel is only needed if you need to adjust the feed temp. personally i dont use it. preset temp lowered to 50° so kids dont get burns is just nice wether for the hottub or washing hands (also you can always mix cold water to get lower temp). i am honestly very content with it.

if I put the gas tank outdoors, and the Rinnai gas heater near it, I would have to have copper or stainless steel pipes to connect to the bathroom showers?

I'm evaluating heaters available in M'sia right now after seeing a Rinnai Gas Tankless unit at work in my parents home in the US.....
I'm looking to install it in my new condo with a kitchen sink and 2 bathrooms(not bath tubs. just the shower and sinks)....

- which model should I go for?
- any other applications for it?
- what kinda costing am I looking at in Malaysia?
- is it safe to just use a normal cooking gas tank or should there be piped gas to the unit in order to install the heater?
- do the installers have the proper installation knowledge?
- what kinda pipes, insulation, venting is required?

Anyone have any idea or can share from their experience?

Tankless water heater water heater will always take less electric than tank, you leave the tank on or not. It sucks huge power instantly when you open the tap but them stops. Overall use can never be more than the tank.
As a brand name, Steibel Eltron is rated as best electric tankless water heater. It is German and built for cold climate. Malaysia is no cold climate so it'll do much better. Looks very small though. You need to question its kilowatts. The more it has, the more hot water it can give you instantly.
