UEFA hit Barca 'keeper Pinto with two-game ban

Barcelona goalkeeper Jose Manuel Pinto has been banned for two games by UEFA after the governing body found him guilty of "gross unsporting conduct" when whistling to halt an attack from FC Copenhagen.

The bizarre incident occurred in a Champions League tie on October 20. Copenhagen broke clear through Cesar Santin with Barcelona winning 1-0, but the Brazilian stopped his run as Pinto waved his arm and simulated the sound of a referee's whistle. laugh.gif  laugh.gif

With RvP and Arshavin in, it's like the strongest attacking lineup we have, and yet we cant get anything from this game sad.gif

What is wrong with Fabregas today, He gave the ball away a lot.

btw Chelsea will be 8 points clear if they win later cry.gif cry.gif

Clichy has not been himself for a few games already. I do not know what really has happened to him but AW must deal with this; somehow.

Regarding the goal conceded, I shall blame it to both the defence and the GK.

Poor defending as a team. The fact that nobody was marking or challenging opponent No. 9 is really a mystery to me.

Next is Fabianski. Yes, the blame should be put onto the defence, but yet again, Fabianski failed in his decision-making (again) when he decided to rush out to challenge the ball and failed. Again, I do not 100% blame Fabianski because I think the overall defence should be blamed but Fabianski really has to improve his decision making or else Almunia will be back between the post soon.
*
I wonder if Szczesny will be given a chance to prove himself if Arsene decides to drop Fabianski hmm.gif
If it's back to Almunia again then doh.gif
He will have several good games, then one mistake, then what? back to Fabianski again? sweat.gif sweat.gif

Well, Clichy is really nowhere from his best recently. Maybe, just maybe, we are lacking the usual DM of what Song was used to be; sweeping out the balls and covering the fullbacks.
GK commits but fails to reach the ball, it's a death sentence to GK. No? Let's discuss biggrin.gif

Anyway, I am still confident with Fabianski to be our GK as long as he learns his lesson.
*
I believe the answer is YES.
IF the goalkeeper commits he is expected to get the ball, or at least some of the ball.
Just finished watching MOTD, when Fabianski was charging out, he stopped for a while, then only he jumped and tried to get the ball.
If he had decided to come out and get the ball, just continue charging out. I don't care if he crash with Carroll, maybe that might stop him from scoring or better yet, maybe it's a foul for Carroll laugh.gif tongue.gif

Thing is, if we are to challenge the title, we should not care about how strong and good any other teams are but to bring out the best to beat them. in last night's case, they showed us a squad of very very weak performance team, its even worse than liverpool. We are locked up down left right when opponents slightly defend deeper. So from the game you might conclude that any npower league team can easily beat us...the trick is try to score a header or any set pieces with taller or bigger size player then park the bus... coz arsenal wont be a threat anymore. arsenal can be easily press if the fluidity of the ball movement is not good enough and any team can beat us if they press us successfully and counter attack our weak defense.. That's why we are favorite opponent for MU...Coz they are good at pressing and counter attack us.
*
The is like one of the proven method to beat us. West Ham almost did it.

The thing is this is not the first time we faced this problem. How many times we've seen this situation?
We have lots of shot at goal, but opponent had one decent chance, usually from a set piece and usually its a header, and it's a goal. After that opponent defend deep and we cant break them.
It's frustrating really, and it baffles me why we still haven't address this problem until now doh.gif

"Cesc Fabregas misplaced 27 passes against Newcastle, his worst ever tally in a Premier League game"
Got this from twitter, it's really a poor game from Cesc. shakehead.gif

thanks man  smile.gif

i was expecting the media to highlight the Cesc tackle and totally ignored the 2 tackles made by Wolves player that for me also warranted sending off. and of course, that just what happened. the MOTD video did not show at all the 2 tackles i mentioned by Wolves while keep on going on and on and on about the Cesc tackle. still pretty annoyed by it even when you already expected it
*
not suprising at all.
now every bad tackle made by us will be headline especially after Arsene's comment on bad tackling shakehead.gif shakehead.gif

but Cesc needs to control his temper, he don't need to make that tackle yesterday. frustrated with the ref decisions maybe? hmm.gif

btw the referee yesterday doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif he must be disappointed wolves couldn't get a point yesterday.
