It's good that the glass camera lens cover is scratch resistant.
But still have to wipe fingerprint smudge before any serious shooting session |

QUOTE(Leo the Lion @ Oct 25 2010, 01:45 PM) Scratch resistant is kinda marketing gimmick for me. Gorilla glass is TOUGH but it did not mention it's scratch-proof. So put SP on your N8, it's better late than never Of course, scratch resistant =/= scratch proof ....I don't really care about the front screen as I have SP.... but I was referring to the glass on the camera lens on my earlier post sklchan, Yea, need a lint free cloth to be around ... but i normally just use my shirt This post has been edited by hsyong: Oct 25 2010, 01:55 PM |

QUOTE(sklchan @ Oct 25 2010, 01:53 PM) yes it's not 100% scratch proof... protect it if u dare not to take the risk... Just in case anyone's wondering, the glass on the camera is scratch resistant (i thinks it's confirmed by Damian Dinning) ... it's a relief, because we can't slap on a SP on the camera lens i'm not using the sp because i "believe" i wont be too rough on my N8... same as 1 of my colleuge using the Motorola Milestone which come with gorilla glass, his phone also 100% naked not even with any pouch... and i just check with him the phone screen it's still crystal clear after >6 months usage... so the lesson here would be the screen WON'T easily got scratches if u treat it properly... Added on October 25, 2010, 1:56 pm hehe yah.. lint free is good... but when no choice kain biasa jadi lah... janji lap sui sui then snap sui sui photos... |

For those with problems, check your firmware, is it v10 or v11 (011.012) ? There seems to be some sets still on v10.

QUOTE(WaytoDawn @ Oct 28 2010, 08:23 PM) From my personal experience, I've had no major problems whatsoever regarding the phone. Thank god. Me too. Nothing critical, just occasional freezing of the social/fb widget (but other parts of the phone still works). Anyway, the widget hasn't freeze after update to new version yesterday.. at least not yet |

QUOTE(mohaja @ Oct 28 2010, 08:45 PM) How do we update the Nokia's Social apps just like one mention here http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/news/item/1...d_adds_one_.php Last night the widget display the "Login" message, so I clicked to go into the Social App to login to FB, then it automatically asked me to upgrade.. clicked "Yes" then the browser opened and download the new file (then it automatically install .. just sit back and wait for the process to complete).Maybe you can restart your phone and see. (Make sure your phone can connect to internet tho... and I think the download is about 2.5MB) This post has been edited by hsyong: Oct 28 2010, 08:51 PM |
