QUOTE(BuFung @ Oct 29 2010, 12:54 AM) very good answer.. 1 very good answer for you. I got it for free during Nokia Events (in case you forgot) and I don't really put much expectation on the browser/social network and etc2 with the phone and that is the reason why I kept my SGS as an alternatives. why end user deciding to buy a phone have to wait for it? since there is phone like SGS u having? sure can hope for it.. smarter consumer will wait till it stable down only buy right if they need the browser(why shall buy n wait? if not out who bare the lost?).. and how many smartphone user don't use the browser...? Smart consumer will buy the phone depending on their needs, if the phone have match their requirement (price/specs and others), they will buy it. It's not just about the browser. |

QUOTE(BuFung @ Oct 29 2010, 01:02 AM) of course nobody look so narrowing only targeting it to urself... I am not pointing it to only you.... It depends on how people define smartphones because not everyone mainly use smartphone for browsing. But a good browser is very well needed in smartphone today. I just say "hope nokia new browser will have keyboard qwerty" and u guys start teasing me. Very sien la!we are talking about a big picture for general consumer... of course not just about the browser.... but browser is one of the main tool for a smartphone... If u want perfect phone, go throw your BB and get PPhone. zzz This post has been edited by Leo the Lion: Oct 29 2010, 12:08 AM |

QUOTE(BuFung @ Oct 29 2010, 01:10 AM) sorry bro if you get me wrong.. I m not teasing u... Initially I am just saying the usual Nokia Firmware waiting game are start again.... u know why sometime I'm mad about u. u tot I am just pointing at u.. I just mean this happen to everybody who buy/own a Nokia... To me, there is no final version firmware phone. Final version firmware phone means a phone with no more future update/enhancement, a complete set firmware for the phone, stable.. Means its stop right there, no more updates and etc. And in case you forgot, other android phone is in waiting game for froyo and gingerbread 2.3. The same case with N8/Symbian, waiting for PR2.2 This post has been edited by Leo the Lion: Oct 29 2010, 12:16 AM |

QUOTE(BuFung @ Oct 29 2010, 01:18 AM) but u dont have to buy one.. Upgrade? I got froyo custom firmware now and I can't see any upgrade or total upgrade? If u mean added more features is an upgrade then Symbian gonna have more features for upcoming firmware is also upgrade. How u define upgrade? Total revamped? More like an update to me.@Leo, enjoy ur mad.. other phone like Android are talking about Upgrading.. not much Bugs fixing like Symbian anymore.. again same old story.. alot of consumer don't care about updating firmware.. they buy and they stick with watever they have.. to phone like Android/iOS/BB OS.. stable enough when the device out.. end of story..... Symbian.. ya.. stable.. maybe to u.. not me... Sigh, again post from BB owner (non-android owner or non-N8 owner). This post has been edited by Leo the Lion: Oct 29 2010, 12:24 AM |

Some words from my mind.
If Nokia going to stay competitive, they need to do some revamped to their Symbian UI. The current Symbian UI is old, but after I seen some future firmware, we have some hope that the current Symbian will get some enhancement. But, when the going get tough, the tough gets going, it's hard for Symbian to catch up with it's counterpart Android/iOS. If Nokia abandon Symbian and take android for their phone, means they abandon millions of user that using Symbian today and they will go bankrupt for doing so. Its good if Nokia stay and follow what google do with android Features from Symbian I would really want to rant about; Browser, Social Networks, hard-to-understand settings language, settings, Ovi Store. These need to improve so the phone will give better user experiences if not for other users, maybe for me. If Nokia reading this, please fix it. Added on October 29, 2010, 12:37 am QUOTE(BuFung @ Oct 29 2010, 01:29 AM) ya ya.. update.. ok .. update... No, you just don't understand about it. r u trying to mean a BB owner cannot post something here? I see... ok night QUOTE(andrekua @ Oct 29 2010, 01:30 AM) For your almighty SGS, mayb you cant feel it or maybe Samsung really sucks with firmware. With CM 6.1 (Froyo 2.2.1), really can feel the zippyness of my Legend vs Eclair 2.1 lor. It felt almighty with the specs. But Samsung really sucks with it's firmware, even type on dialing keypad on N8 feels alot snappier than SGS.This post has been edited by Leo the Lion: Oct 29 2010, 12:38 AM |

QUOTE(andrekua @ Oct 29 2010, 01:38 AM) Definitely not going to happen... judging from what I seen in S90 and then back to S60->S3, not going to happen anytime soon. True, coz there is still millions of symbian user out there. The reason why Nokia stick with it (according to the Ranger introduction speech) was an UI that we Nokian are familiar with. So, I think they wont change the UI anytime soon, but will change how we interact with the phone, so to speak. They are in the right direction with S3, and could take it a step further in S4. |
