yea, me too.. but Wifi Direct has better range and better speed... worth having on the N8 .. since no hardware upgrade is needed

When I search my location still can use but not connected. LOL.

it's not necessary to connect to internet
but if you wan to locate the satelite faster, then you may need A-GPS which needed to connect to the internet, but normally only cost a small amount like... few cent?
of course u can still search in offline mode, but it just it takes longer time to tracker your position
