bulat.. but look at dc photo, it's bulat but not that obvious as n8 photo, i'm not pointing at the correct or incorrect exposure...

for me, to view a night scene photo but suddenly notice, eh, why there is a white circle thing? did someone edited the photo?
well.. get what i mean?
*
the pure white round shape is due to the exposure, and also the distance of the light object. cos all the street lights and car lights are far away, and the exposure value is set to very high, hence u can see white small round shape...it's pretty common IMO
the reason why the normal digital camera have that 'glow' effect around the light is because the light source is nearer to the object(well, at least not a few hundred meters away), so the amount of light is too much, and it will have that effect...unlike the streetlights...

that's what i notice when i take pictures with long exposure time lar...i would need someone with better photography experience to correct me if i am wrong though

blame carl zeiss for what..? blame nokia for what..? they never force u to buy. u got many choices..
*
because they market as camera phone, hence it's their job to do it right
they never force you buy, but they market this phone as the best camera phone in the market, hence they need to make sure what they offer is what they said, or else it's called cheating...surely most of you here remember about N97's demo video and the real thing last time..they didnt force N97 users to buy also, but don tell me that's the right thing to do..

says the noob that ask for cr@acked apps here? c'mon lar, forum is a place to discuss and help, not for you to act all high and mighty...if you wanna do that, please find another thread

really 2nd batch and never encounter any problems.. maybe too many msg already... and i type msg damn fast..
*
lol...c'mon lar, same hardware, same firmware....there's no such thing as 2nd batch no problem, just that you didnt perform the specific actions to make the bug occur..mine is first batch, apart from feeling that it responds kinda slow, i didnt face any major bug also

QUOTE(nicholasbeh @ Oct 28 2010, 03:02 PM)
@BuFung looking at ur siggy suddenly i got something feel weird bout symbian.the stable firmware applied on some phone and apply on another new model it became unstable? What the F***???for example, like 5800 and 5530..somebody explain bout this?bufung?Bbxiong?
*
spec different, hence coding different. See it this way...5800 camera image processing and 5530 implementation might be different, so the seperate the coding for the camera processing part. it will work fine by that camera module itself, but, when you join together with other modules like file saving, preview, etc etc, it might have different behavior due to the different coding, hence even though the spec is the same, OS is the same, some of the bugs would only occur on specific models...due to different programmers and codings.

QUOTE(BuFung @ Oct 28 2010, 03:07 PM)
eh.. u know more phone dealer... do u know Nokia release 2nd batch of N8 which have a better firmware..

I heard some forumer say so.... nod.gif  nod.gif  nod.gif

BBXiong talking about N8..  ur N8 very stable? never hang?

5800 very stable on initial firmware?  wow..
*
my N8? well...browser crash when i click on email link lor...other then that, never encounter anything before wor...maybe mine also 2nd batch?

QUOTE(SecretPaladin @ Oct 28 2010, 03:45 PM)
bro.. why u so hate symbian..?
*
it's not he hates symbian, is cos people that used other platform will know, Symbian cannot compete with other OS as of now. I been using 6680 -> N851 -> N82 also, long time Symbian fan, but even i think that compared to iOS, Symbian is like a baby in comparison...
we don have Symbian, you only think that way because you lack of exposure to other platforms.

QUOTE(BuFung @ Oct 28 2010, 04:00 PM)
I have nothing to look at..  laugh.gif
why u so hate Symbian?    sei Ifag...  tongue.gif laugh.gif  hahahaha.....

SGS problem is not software oh.. is hardware design fault...  they use interior SD as a Cache.. the speed are too slow to use as Cache...  that's why SGS lag...  not the software or file system or watever problem...
*
that one i think is OS issue, save the OS cache to wrong place...

Network connection is a lame excuse. The UI can speed up if it utilize processor (or GPGPU) instead of relying on more to the network connections.  whistling.gif
*
network connection is lame excuse? it's like your browser lar, if the page content is not loaded, what u want them to show?

QUOTE(Leo the Lion @ Oct 28 2010, 04:33 PM)
Well, since relying on processor is a s***, why not relying on GPGPU like BuFung says? And broadcom GPU is 2nd most powerful GPU on smartphone today after Nvidia Tegra (someone posted the link b4, can't find it now). Hope Nokia could utilize the GPU more coz it seems a waste let the GPU under-utilize like that hmm.gif
*
doh.gif
you know how much power do you need to power a GPU? u know why gaming drains your battery like water? cos they uses GPU....your meaning is you want to use GPGU everywhere, and navigates thru the menu will also drain your battery at similar level of gaming? GPGPU is good, but it doesnt mean it must be applied everywhere, when battery life is a concern

Any improvement is welcome to Symbian. If Nokia re-write the layer to use the GPU, then BuFung will  notworthy.gif

do you know how long is it to even code UI stuff? let alone low level kernal stuff...
not to mention the $$$ they dump in for the R&D for it

Can't it show "Unable to load content"? like Android market? Make it like click Game Category and it moves to another page smoothly, but the current Ovi store isn't smooth and I noticed some slowness when moving to another page.

And c'mon, all I hear what people complaining is the slowness/lagness of N8, can't they use the GPU to make it more smooth?
*
the slow/lag of N8 is due to unoptimized coding, they can easily fix it with coding performance optimization...look at C5, suppose to perform slower then S^3, and using just 600Mhz, but from what i experience with my mom's unit, it's fast, almost everything responded instantly. They just need more time to fine tune the codes, this is a programmer's life

GPGPU? seriously? do u know how many trouble you would get into just to add more support for it? You have to code with specific API and coding language, and also some special coding method to add support. PC, for example, nVidia's CUDA, supports C and C++ langauge for now, and that also, you need to include their pre defined API, not only that, you will also need to use most of their specific methods. Do you think anyone would go through that much trouble to create a faster but shorter battery life device? Not to mention, GPGPU standards like CUDA, Stream, OpenCL isnt supported in Symbian(like hell it would), that also means nokia would need to use more time and resource to develop their own GPGPU API standard?

make some sense la, it's always easy for end user to say this say that, but for once try to think of the complexity of your 'suggestion' can a not?

a real programmer really pro...  notworthy.gif  well said..  thumbup.gif

photo zooming and kenetic scrolling would need to be optimzed though, but that is not GPGPU related.

@Leo: Actually all those are just something that you can learn thru the web..i didnt get myself involve in any of those as well, it's just sometimes to explore a bit on more info...just saying that while it's not impossible, i don think nokia would do to that extend, cos that would mean rebuild the whole kernel, and if they do that, it wouldnt be called a Symbian^3 anymore..

I'm on the road to become a programmer soon. Right now I have learned C/C++/Visual Basic/Web Programming, haven't yet Java, and other programming stuff. Not a real programmer yet, and I know how hard to do the code and I'm pretty stuck with my project thinking of the right code now. Btw, now we won't call Symbian^3 anymore, it's just Symbian, Nokia already says it.  whistling.gif
*
since u learned C, go ahead and check the CUDA API...sure rclxub.gif i tell u
somemore i heard they say there are some limitation to how the GPU behaves one, not as flexible as general programming or something like that...hence really harder to code..
