I think I figured it out. Actually there is an offer for those that pre order the new Kings Bounty stand alone expansion. They get a free copy as a gift of KB The Legend. I think this bit is screwed up and Steam opened the game up to everyone.

I would however recommend games with multiplayer component on Steam because patching is a hassle and the community is at Steam. Might as well get the Steam version. Single Player focused game sure, Gamersgate is a great choice. Even Impulse.

QUOTE(alvinfks78 @ Dec 6 2010, 04:07 PM) Gamersgate has less region locks. If i recall they don't have any region lock at all. It isn't exclusive. Impulse has a few games that are for NA region(quite a few EA titles). But most of the indie stuff and their own games are available for everyone. |

QUOTE(HellZoker @ Dec 10 2010, 05:40 PM) i felt like buying fallout 3: new vegas... Offline mode. Steam allows you to play games without internet connection.but the only thing that stop me is "you must login steam to start a game" thingy... imagine, i played tf2 in my house, sometimes i go back to kampung without internet i bring back my com to play fallout 3 but kenot login steam so cannot play https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article...=3160-agcb-2555 |

QUOTE(HellZoker @ Dec 10 2010, 05:52 PM) i know can switch to offline mode, but does that mean when i play tf2 i need to switch to normal mode? How do you play TF2 without internet connection anyway? Yes you have to plan before you travel. Not at all. It just a simple matter of selecting an option in the drop down menu.then b4 i move to the place without internet i need to swtich to offline mode 1st?? isn't that a lil troublesome? |

QUOTE(HellZoker @ Dec 10 2010, 06:25 PM) what i mean is...i may not 24/7 on the com.... Once you turn to offline mode, it's set to offline mode even when you restart your pc or turn it off or whatever. If you're travelling or going to a place with spotty net connection turn to offline mode in advanced. Because that is not the way how Steam works.for example , i travel with my notebook, then i was free on that day... i plan to play fallout, but it turns out no connection so i cannot start the game... my point is...why don't steam allow offline mode according to game?
