Issit me or i just cant select my runebook...
*
client bug
try holding mouse on the rune selection and move using the arrow key (up/down) and press enter (if you don't press enter, it will show your selected rune but during in-game you'll end up with the current-default rune page.)
also apparently resizing the client window works too.

I rather play Garena then settle for 200-300 ping everyday.
*
200-300 ping is bad?
i never noticed it as a problem
unless if its 350+-400, then yeah

although i'll most likely give garena a try
shouldnt be too bad considering they have both hon and lol
usually the tards with horrible art sense would rather be stubborn and wait for hon and be stuck there rather than even try lol
so it could be good, of course it could be bad too, who knows

woot. that fraking fcuking gay. wtf with that high IP cost? i do think we'll see same pricing on malaysia/singapore gheyarena soon.

wow..gheyarena really did it this time. rent system? 1/3/5/7 days champs rent? doh.gif
*
champ rent idea has been around NA for quite some time now and they did say they'd work on it but until now nobody knows about any status
imo it's a great one, instead of wasting alot of IP just to try out a champ or wait for free week, you can rent and test it out whether you'll like the champ playstyle.

i played LOL, think 10 times. here the summary i have about this game compare to DOtA.
Pros:
1. Good system to prevent leaver, but player still can afk eventhought reconnected.
2. very less lagging issue, so far i see 0
3. Got recommended item to buy, good for newbie
4. Very detail of damage point system for attack n spell
5. Nice color and maps

Cons:
1. Player just can end the game after vote surrender
Other:
LOL is not talking RTS, is talking GB. you less a champion, likely 5-4 ;5 will win in GB, imaging every one of them use heal skills; in dota a 4-5 or 3-4 can still own the game as long as they have late game hero like sniper, void to turn the game but not in LOL. dota ultimate spell made it mre like RTS.

take a close look, they're different.
the concept may look almost the same, but its not.

How was the interaction between you and the players? How did the players manage their team compositions? Warding responsibilities? Initiation responsibilities? Tanking responsibilities?

Taking none of that into account. I'd still rather get "f*** your mom." than "c********" or "d**" in my games, as arbitrary as that sounds.
*
they're literally the same.
you've some mentality issue.

Considering that NA, EU as well as China's regional playstyles are all different. I don't understand how they're literally "the same".
*
what i meant was "I'd still rather get "f*** your mom." than "c********" or "d**" in my games". they're literally the same, and i dont see why it matters.

SEA playstyle seems to be much closer to NA playstyle (maybe because most of the people here are from NA anyways)
but really, doesnt matter NA, EU, CN or SEA, they're practically the same once you at least lift out of the low ranks. so far im pretty satisfied with SEA, in fact there are a lot of high quality players. ping gain from 150+ ms to 12-17 ms is actually bigger advantage than i thought. same time zone so when patch days i dont have issue with it since i'll be sleeping, wake up and have work anyways. my only issue is the player base being low. but its growing. if you're a ranked player i think NA is still a better choice, average waiting time here is 4-6mins ranked game for an unranked. i cant stand waiting for queue so most of the time i just play normal games instead. if u queue with a team can easily shoot high up. but for normal games its great so far.

I've already mentioned that it's an arbitrary reason. Perhaps you might want to look up the definition for arbitrary.

I don't really have that many complaints for flying spaghetti monster. The low ping is great that the occasional ah bengs are tolerable, I feel that peeps in flying spaghetti monster don't really understand target priorities and initiations, but that's my anecdotal experience however.
*
i know. im just mentioning it and clearing up the SEA misconceptions.
well, an attempt at least. and possibly its just me, but i havent come across any ah bengs for a pretty long time.
in fact, most of the time the type of people we're matched against end up to be bunch of grammar nazi who once in awhile trolls and either fails or succeed a game. if fail they will find your grammar or spelling mistake. if there is nothing to be found, they disappear faster than you'll ever be able to switch off your lights.

the launcer edit using pastebin url still works they just change the file name thats all
i'll post up the current file name later when i get back home
its still .tra file just that there are much fewer lines in it but you can see the url path is there

so currently there are 2 files that pretty much does the same thing just that 1 is inactive i guess, same thing they did with the playernametag if you wanna mod the colors.

i just re install my LoL because of it
it can install properly but cant uninstalll  sad.gif

i prefer the old method where you can just drag the file in ...
*
hmm? what do you mean?
gayrena is still using the old method
new method is only for NA

QUOTE(haydor @ Aug 19 2011, 12:29 AM)
whats the old method??

i try to install skin changer from LoLCaVe but failed...
i use that before.. but now cannot.. i dont know why
*
it prolly only works for NA as they're using a compression system
gayrena is still using the old system where you can just drag and drop to replace file (and back up if you need to)
if you're trying to install skin from leaguecraft, just download the file, you dont need their installer if you're playing flying spaghetti monster
open it with winrar and drop the files where it should be (the files are usually already managed in folders where it should be, you just have to make sure its placed correctly.)

gayrena isnt that bad, honestly and the playerbase is increasing. i used to play NA and 200-300 ping was no problem at all but i sometimes have issue with farming but switched to gayrena ping gone down to 13-18ms. the difference is huge. once in awhile i play NA too, i'll be honest with you, its really huge difference. its playable, but im talking advantage. horrible communities are everywhere, just get out of low elo and get in a team of 2-3 players after a good amount of solo queues. you'll do fine. there is really no diff between NA and SEA other than the obvious smaller population.

have the gayrena queues improved?
*
normal queues are fast, ranked is still long queue. problem is still the same, low player count.

QUOTE(FarEast91 @ Aug 21 2011, 10:42 AM)
I've already invested a lot of time into NA, made lots of friends there. So I don't see why I need to start over here and lose all of my solo q buddies into a similarly bad community that I may or may not understand what they speak (I'm not chinese).

Anyway I'm only in Malaysia until after hari raya, then I got to go back.
*
since day 1 in gayrena, nobody has spoken chinese in any of my games. in rare occasion, there are some malay speakers but out of 500+ games i've played there, maybe 1-3 games i've encountered that which was just recently. other than that, all english speakers or people who dont own a keyboard.
