QUOTE(Iphone4Lover @ Jan 26 2011, 12:17 PM) Try on it for whether you like the feeling of it(it should be very stiff to type). Sell it and get a newer model you like may be a better choice. Retro things should be sell to those who like retro things at a high price. BTW, if you really want to keep it then i think LYP will sell the adapter. I'll keep it... I'm more like a vintage person LYP?

QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Jan 26 2011, 07:23 PM) Problem is the switches on the keyboard are blacks. Also i wouldn't know how to replace the switch if i could get reds. Modding them to ghetto red seems doable for my skill. Added on January 26, 2011, 7:31 pmYour IBM Model M is a buckling spring. It's not nkro so it may do between 2-4KRO. Unless your going to be playing beatmania or o2jam it's not gonna matter. Ibm buckling spring keyboards are rather loud. Some people like them for typing. You can get more information for the AT to PS2 adapters over at geekhack. USB to PS2 adapter http://geekhack.org/showwiki.php?title=PS2-to-USB+adaptersFor my vintage keyboard i'm using 5 PIN DIN (M) to 6 pin PS/2 (F) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-Pro-Reverse...&sr=8-1-catcorrWith either a NEWLink USB PS/2 Keyboard Adapter (N01210) http://www.amazon.co.uk/NEWLink-USB-Keyboa...0/dp/B001GXR72Eand 6 inch Fully Rated USB Extension Cable A-A http://www.amazon.co.uk/inch-Fully-Rated-E...95895364&sr=8-1Or Belkin USB PS/2 Adapter http://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-USB-PS-2-Ad...95725083&sr=1-2AT and PS2 share the same protocol by the way do you know which shop selling the 5 pin to ps2 converter around kl and klang valley ?

QUOTE(Iphone4Lover @ Jan 26 2011, 11:17 PM) You mean you cant find thing like this in Malaysia? I think LYP will have it . Besides, i have seen it at my hometown(nameless small town) and may be ''Challenger'' too? BTW, I think we really cant find any blue cube in Malaysia. The only choice that is quite widely available is this.(LYP lots!!!) yah that's the cable I wanna find.... will find a day visit lowyat again... BTW i think USB not enough to power up the ibm model m correct me if i m wrong

QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Jan 26 2011, 11:58 PM) if the ps2 to usb adapter isn't either the blue cube or belkin, then i wouldn't recommend it. There is no knowing if it would work well with old keyboards unless you've done research on it. @thomadyeoh If you do find the din5 to ps2 please let me know as well I just got the 5pin AT to PS/2 converter yesterday in LYP Only in Cabletron network marketing for rm6

QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Feb 15 2011, 04:35 PM) Thx for the info Got any pictures ? Do they have the din5 female to din6 PS/2 male with a metal encasing ??? The plastic encasing is fine, just wondered if they did though. Performance wise i think this one all perform the same. It's only when it comes to PS2 to USB adapter that they all don't perform the same especially when it comes to old vintage keyboards that have a high energy requirement. pic here including the model M copy from Copam+ didn't notice. I just straight away ask then the sales girl just take to me
