nope. just USB itself.
detachable USB.

That's good, means you can now NKRO over laptop without resolving to find a p/s2 port anymore

if your motherboard support PS/2
and it works fine with your motherboard, you don't have to upgrade at all.
this is just the Limited edition Ducky i got. for collector's edition.
*
For laptop / convenience

Because I have to rewire another p/s2 extension from my back just to make use of the NKRO, offcourse NKRO aint that important for me, just that it's good to have since you have paid for it

http://forums.vr-zone.com/mass-order-forum...ards-ducky.html

or PChome. cut chinese version only
http://global.pchome.com.tw/?mod=item&func...4259&c=A20&tm=u

some rumor, i heard, it is only limited until Jan 31st. im not sure yet.

or you can wait for the regular G2 Ducky.
which i believe will be release very soon.
*
Engraved key caps?? wow that looks amazing.. The shipping plus keyboard from PChome cost RM550+

4590 NT plus 10 USD shipping? 5kg is alot, it's like 3 keyboard altogether actually.

Dont just try BlackWidowUltimate to judge blue switch. Try BlackWidowExpert one. It should be what normal blue switch should feel like instead.

Added on January 30, 2011, 7:58 pm
It should be noticeable. You need to release the key fully(more than the ''click'' point) to register the keypress next time.

Look at the force and distance graph to roughly get you what is the different.

How much does it cost(include shipping to Malaysia) in RM?

Added on January 30, 2011, 8:11 pm
Just realise that this KB is heavier than other mechanical KB. 3 KB weighted more than 6KG already...
Mean if bulk the most 2 sets per bulk, LOL doh.gif
*
2.1Kg for the keyboard.. lol

I tried to press for the total price

2 keyboard @ NT$9472 or equivalent to RM1000

from wut i've read bout it, it is 26key
*
26 keys is more than you can ever utilise on. NKRO is something that you can brag on.

Seriously do you have more than 10 fingers? you need to press 2.6 keys with each finger to press more than 26 keys at once.

I think he said it clearly, the new batch of X4, i think MS improved the ghosting effect and made the NKRO possible, then X4 really become kings of membrane keyboard. Holy.
*
NKRO is not everything concerning a keyboard, you have to take into account of other factor such as shortcut keys, durability, comfort and maybe even aesthetics.

But it's good to know Ms is putting effort in their hardware section, I just hope they have better QC (my ms mouse having very loose middle button)

QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Jan 31 2011, 09:11 AM)
But will microsoft jump to the mechanical bandwagon ? Or more importantly will Logitech ?

Razer has already made the switch, yet for their first mech keyboard they made it 2kro, wtf ??? also cherry mx blue switches which suck at double tapping and are more prone to wear because unlike other non clicky switches, dirt can get trapped and wear it out faster compared to the other switches.

Cherry corp keyboards are stopping production of double shot keys was it in 2010 or 2011 not sure.
The only upside is the recently surge in Taiwanese/Chinese/Korean keyboard clones making better mechs although with lasered pbt keys mostly.

None of them have opted for doubleshots or even dye sublimated keys which are costly. Instead their going for plated mounted cases, aesthetically pleasing, and feature rich mech keyboards.
*
Not much people bother about key caps, but feature and aesthetics would generate easier sales.

Ms and Logitech into the Mech Keyboard world? I hope logitech does because they offer great feature over their keyboard. BTW I hate those newer keyboard because they offers very odd keyboard layout (especially on the F1 - F12 keys), and too many useless shortcut which I would have never used such as (back , forward, homepage, email etc.

I doubt that Logitech or even MS will jump over the mechanical switch.
1st, it increase the price of kb but not necessary increase the profit.
Next, i feel like those 2 big companies are too ergo to cooperate and use Cherry switch from German. May be if they want to jump into mechanical hype also probably will create their own switch... whistling.gif
*
Regardless who is the maker, as long as it's a good switch it's a good keyboard, if they can make better switch than Cherry (which I doubt), why not.

After all if Mechanical Keyboard can create enough hype (compare than current blink blink trend), many would follow suit or being left out

hi moogle, what would be the deciding factor in your opinion in choosing filco and ducky? since ducky is only rm220 RRP in taiwan for full NKRO while filco cost 300 (non) and 340 (nkro)

and from your explanation up there, those arnt like.......big factors in choosing keyboard.
*
Mind how do you get this price?

From PChome it shows 3490 NT I guess which cost like RM360 for the ducky. If filco cost only RM340 I am robed for paying RM400 for my ducky which I ask someone to brought over from Sg

well, if you factor in the shipping, it's around RM 400
*
ya.. that's why in my quote i wonder how he got RM230.. which I would happily buy to replace all my keyboards..

SG Mo ducky the ship from China/Taiwan.

So if you order from the SG MO, you just paying extra for shipping. May as well order from the source and ship directly to be cheaper.

The only reason i did it at the time was because only the SG MO had it on offer back then until pchome came along.

So i pretty much paid 500+ just to get my ducky.
*
Cause you ordered the leather palm rest with special keycaps right?

For my batch I only have Ducky 9008 + extra set of free caps (original keys) + WASD and ESC in colours + keycaps puller.
That's it.

I paid SGD165 for everything excluding shipping to Malaysia because someone in SG helped me to handle everything. The PChome offering wasn't different from what I was paying.

The next thing I would like to get is probably a set of good blank keys since basically my current key caps (black on black) isn't visible at all during night time (low lighting), might as well get blank for the GEEK factor

http://www.armygroup.com.tw/shop/goods.php?id=4951

since ur fren is in taiwan, is it possible to get the other ducky? (dun like the tiger edition much due to the tiger word lol)
*
wait for the coming model of ducky, they are sell it 1000NT extra for being limited edition.

I am very interested for the "tiger" because that's my Chinese Zodiac lol! However that I am too broke to afford it now (+ it would attract unncessary attention in my family for another keyboard).

Can someone point out the improvement for the 9108 over 9008?
