Confirm don't have. The nearest selling only switches is China Taobao. Or maybe even Taiwan and Japanese auctions. Korea also have but harder to get access to buy e.g. OTD.

The only other option is to get from donor boards, but i haven't seen many people selling just the switches only :/

Cherry MX Red switches cost the most almost 3-5 times the price of the other Cherry mx switches.

Also Cherry MX switches have 2 types. PCB mounted and plate mounted.

PCB mounted has an extra pin i am told. You can snip it off to make compatible with plated mounted keyboards.

Whereas the plate mounted cherry mx switches doesn't have that extra pin, so if you use it for a pcb mounted keyboard, it doesn't stick on so well.

Anyway, i think you only need to remove the plastic piece and spring inside the cherry mx switch and transplant into the existing cherry switch and should work. This is my guess. SO maybe you don't really have to worry if the one your getting is pcb or plate mounted switches.

On geekhack there is info how to check.

Also taobao have a rating system. Better ratings presumably honest seller otherwise he would have bad rating. Just look at it this way :}

The cheapest i saw was this

http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=12939632

But the picture doesn't show any cherry mx covering, only the inside plastic and spring.

I think thats ok since thats really all you need, then just swap with the one in your existing switch.

Problem is, how to check if it's original or counterfeit i don't know.

@angelofro

How many cherry mx red are you getting ? hmm.gif

By the way

Use Cherry mx Grey for spacebar if your using for non clicky keyboards.

For clicky keyboards, people tend to use Cherry mx Green for spacebar because that is clicky as well.

As you can see the box to put the keyboard in for shipping is HUGE!!!.

Notice the keycaps is laser etched engraved without any fillings. Probably very durable because it's pbt plastic keycaps, so the filling won't wear out. But problem that may occur is dirt gets trapped in those engravings.

See the picture confirming it uses Cherry MX browns. This keyboard also comes with flavors of Cherry MX blue or Black; but i decided to get the Cherry MX brown because i was most comfortable with that. I heard that this particular model compared to the older one, is much quieter.

Also notice the size comparison between the Tiger Edition and the regular old Ducky. The Tiger is slightly bigger !!!

See the spacebar. For the Cherry MX brown version, you get a Cherry MX clear for the spacebar.

My keyboard should arrive 1-2 weeks from now so lets hope wub.gif

Hold FN and Press F9 = disables window key. Useful for when gaming you don't want to accidentally hit the windows key to minimize while you are in an important game match.

F10 and F11 is something about switching keys for Mac APPLe pcs or something.

Here is a good guide how to remove keycaps as well as spacebars and how to grease the spacebars so they don't squeak.

the keycap for the Xarmor seems odd.

Seems it has dye sublimated around the lettering. But it also has rubbery bits in it as well, so there is a big question mark how durable those key caps are.

I don't really like the look of the Xarmor :/ But yeah it's an alternative to the black widow if you like led lighted keyboards. There is also Deck Legend but it cost a lot more.

Yeah when i was installing caps i noticed they weren't all even.

It was later i realized i didn't press down on them enough so thats why it was uneven. hehe.

BTW, IMHO, i dont that there is onlt 500 of the items being produced world wide. The stock just seems to be unlimited after launching for about 1-2 months at many website, PChome, Ebay, OCN and many more... shocking.gif

Try snap a picture of the serial number and we will get roughly how much being produced(if what Ducky claimed that each have their unique S/N). hmm.gif

BTW, as you claimed that you swapped the keys to your double shot already, want to sell those keycaps? brows.gif Will the profile fit on BWU(i dont mind if it will block the backlit whistling.gif )?

Another thing i cant brain is as you are swapping the keycaps, why dont just purchase chinese layout? blink.gif

SN is 500/177

There really is only 500 of these.

I don't know why but this keyboard stock is very hard to get.

@Iphone4Lover

Depends. How much you offering ? Pm me. I rather not sell if possible, but if the price is right i might.
