QUOTE(xcen @ Oct 24 2010, 07:35 PM) I'm definitely interested if the price is interesting! How much do you think the price can go down if it is brought directly to Malaysia? I think got around RM80? This is Ducky keyboards websitehttp://www.duckychannel.com.tw They have a contact page. If you email them you can ask about opening a Malaysian MO like they did for Singapore, and how much we can get for a Malaysian bulk. I think they require a minimum of 10 people in order to proceed with any import orders. If you joined the SG bulk, you have to pay for unnecessary overheads like extra shipment and paypal transaction fees. For a Malaysian bulk, no transfer fee assuming people all have maybank accounts. Also probably no shipping cost if there is a consensus for collection points set up e.g. the curve maybe ? Or someone closer to an LRT. So if the Singaporeans are already paying 165 SGD shipping already included, it's safe to assume it would be the same price for a direct Malaysian bulk since the distance from Taiwan is roughly the same. 165.00 SGD = 396.405 MYR http://www.xe.com I've already ordered mine, so i don't really need to do this myself This post has been edited by Moogle Stiltzkin: Oct 24 2010, 08:48 PM |

QUOTE(storm88 @ Oct 24 2010, 08:51 PM) Well the Sg people are getting 10 SGD deducted from the 165 SGD price if they already bought a Ducky from the SG Bulk.I suspect for 100 orders of Ducky kbs they may give more discount. But that would be a very big mo to organize. I doubt you can convince 100 people to order a Ducky. Compared to SG enthusiast site, we don't have enough Malaysians who appreciate the quality or need to buy one @storm88 I'm curious to find out how much Filco will charge per Filco Majestouch keyboards for a Malaysian MO. Not that i will get one because i already ordered a Ducky, but i am curious to know Filco and Ducky can't go wrong with either of them. Even the Steelseries mechanical keyboards are nice if you don't mind black cherry switches (i'd think professional gamer prefer those switches anyway). Price is going to be important though to decide This post has been edited by Moogle Stiltzkin: Oct 24 2010, 08:58 PM |

QUOTE(N1ck @ Oct 24 2010, 08:56 PM) RM 320 for a filco, not bad. Might bet some cherry browns if I got the cash, probably in 2 years time =( unless I sell my 7g Rm320 for a Filco Majestouch NKRO is just epic @storm88 Are you asking for the Filco Majestouch with NKRO or No NKRO ? They have 2 variants, one with, and one without. Also they have a choice of 3 switches, black, blue and brown. QUOTE(storm88 @ Oct 24 2010, 09:15 PM) It means Moogle was brought back to reality. Because in reality, RM 320 for NKRO Filco is impossible. I prefer Filco NKRO Maybe the non NKRO is 6KRO but i cannot confirm this because i never researched it that much. O2jam uses 7 keys, so 6kro might not cut it This post has been edited by Moogle Stiltzkin: Oct 24 2010, 09:19 PM |

but the Ducky 9008 comes with
- full set of key caps - uses Cherry stabilizers (better than Filco which uses costar stabilizers if you prefer sturdier build, and you are going to replace keycaps. Note however some people who own both keyboards, say they prefer the feel of the Filco when pressing on the stabilizer keys. As for me i rather prefer the convenience of easy keycap replacements for the stabilizer keys.) - free white WASD keycaps (maybe Filco comes with free WASD but i don't know) - comes with a free keycap puller (maybe Filco has as well but i don't know either) - has a mini usb connector to easily replace the keyboard cable should anything ever happen. (Filco does not have this feature) - has a choice between abs silk screened keycaps or laser etched pbt keycaps. (Filco only comes with silk screened only. Filco may however be releasing doubleshot full set of keycap replacements around end of they year maybe, however it remains uncertain) - when comparing prices between Filco and Ducky, you will obviously get more with the Ducky. If you ignore, price, mini usb replacable feature, keycap options and Cherry stabilizers; You won't regret if you end up with either choice. The only thing that may matter is which you feel gives you more bang for your bucks. The only thing i regret is, the Filco would have been better for my doubleshot keycap replacements compared to the Ducky because of the design. Ducky has led lighted function keys, so if i replaced them, i have no way to know if a function key is activated. Filco on the otherhand has their led embeded into the board rather than integrated into the keys itself. I also feel that the Filco logo looks better Added on October 25, 2010, 3:32 pm QUOTE(Sky.Live @ Oct 25 2010, 09:52 AM) ![]() Contact: operations@myobook.net Website: www.myobook.net Email Alice Wu and ask for a price quote for the Cherry G80-3494 Lycus 2 black. The Lycus 2 black comes with POM keys. The White variant comes with PBT keys. POM is obviously the better quality so i would recommend going with the black. Anyway here is a screencap of the price quote when i asked myself. ![]() Actually storm, i am interested to know where you got your Cherry red switch keyboard from as well ? Was it also from Tabao agents ? On a separate note, here is a different sort of Filco box hm... This post has been edited by Moogle Stiltzkin: Oct 25 2010, 04:04 PM |

I have a G15 V1 i may be willing to part with.
The condition is about 70% as i will explain below. - LCD doesn't work becauz the lcd wire got cut. Can probably fix if you know how to replace the thin ribbon wire. - "a" and "s" keys slightly worn but the letterings are still visible. - Some slight whitening on the lower half of the keyboard probably due to my hand rubbing against the plastic cover i think - one of the plastic recliner is broke. You can get a replacement from a cheap keyboard. - all keys depress fine without any issues. - Kindly note that this is V1 (blue led lighting, not V2 (orange led lighting) Other than that the keyboard works perfectly. Led lighting still works. So why am i selling it ? Because i'm getting a new Ducky keyboard Anyway private message me with a price offer if your interested. If you need pictures i can take some for you. Here is an edited pic i took with some highlights of the explanation ![]() G15 v1's are rare. The v1 is a "flip top" version with 18 macro's (the v2 only has 6). This post has been edited by Moogle Stiltzkin: Oct 26 2010, 12:15 AM |

QUOTE(Fable @ Oct 25 2010, 06:59 PM) ![]() See the metal bar ? thats a Filco stabilizer that makes it more stable because it's a longer key than the normal ones. Stabilizers are used for shift, caps, enter and spacebars. However Filco stabilizers require some care when removing key caps because the metal grippers hook to the keys beneath. If you pull straight out, you can break them. A cherry keyboard stabilizer looks like this ![]() http://geekhack.org/attachment.php?attachm...=1&d=1278257026 See instead of metal grippers, they have rubber stabilizers that make it easier to replace/install keycaps. Cherry stabilizers are more sturdy/durable than Filcos Costar ones. QUOTE(andythung @ Oct 25 2010, 07:23 PM) Whats ts ? This post has been edited by Moogle Stiltzkin: Oct 25 2010, 07:29 PM |

Yeah man. Even if you don't replace keycaps until they wear out, you still need to remove keys to clean out the dirt from time to time.
Hm actually i am not selling any Ducky. Small Walrus is in his mo I did however make a suggestion that if we did our own Malaysian bulk, we can get it for a better price for Malaysian buyers. Another interesting fact. PCB mounted switches are much easier to remove if you decide to replace old switches or do some modding to use different switches. Less sturdier than soldering method. The alternative to pcb mounted, is the soldered kind which is sturdier but harder to remove unless your good at soldering. This post has been edited by Moogle Stiltzkin: Oct 25 2010, 07:49 PM |

Here is a guide by someone else how to remove the stabilizer keycaps for the Ducky which uses cherry stabilizers.
Here's how to remove: Spacebar : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vaOXridKeag Shift : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZWYYa6kfhE Another angle of Shift : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxZ0Xoaio7I I'm also noob, but if use regular keycap puller and your own hands, it looks much simpler than if you were to try it on a Costar keyboard stabilizer. Some better pics of the Ducky 9008 stabilizers ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by Moogle Stiltzkin: Oct 25 2010, 08:30 PM |
