Oh no, mine's an Expert; I don't really need the fancy lights. It's not as bad as you described though.

I only mentioned it because I'm very picky, and the difference is still a click and a click. Not between a click and a thud (mechanical and membrane, you mean). If I had to give it a number, it's between a sharp 10 out of 10 click and 8 click. And yeah it's around the ZXC area wink.gif

my BWE is also having inconsistent problem, Z, X and C particularly making the worst "thud" noise and D-F, X-C have different height..thats just poor honestly

the glossy surface make it worst..sigh..moving on soon if there is other option thats easily available and dont cost my arm and leg

Okay, so the inconsistent/faulty switch not only occur on BWU but BWE too... doh.gif (good job razer, you win big time!!!)
From what u said, i can tell you that BWU is worse. There are some switch really make ''thud'' sound instead of ''tick''(which at first i thought caused by the led down there) and those keys feel softer and easier to press... vmad.gif . Some is even so linear(lol may be like a brown switch?) till i barely feel the tactile bump and sound. It occur severely for my key ''1'' and ''2'' doh.gif  doh.gif (most often used...). It occur less severely on ''6'' to ''0'' and also sleep key and some of ''F'' keys. rolleyes.gif . Luckily, all my alphabet keys(include ZXC brows.gif ) does ''tick'' consistently(up to 80% consistency la... blush.gif ), though still have different between the ''tick'' sound... wink.gif

All i can say is blue switch might not be a safe choice if you are a picky person(as it is also the easiest spoiled MX switch, such as loss of the ''tick'' sound as dust gathered inside the switch). whistling.gif

Brown switch is tactile. Since like every BW got this same parts of problem which is from ZXC

Here is a good guide how to remove keycaps as well as spacebars and how to grease the spacebars so they don't squeak.

I wanted to get the xarmor before i got the ducky actually but I have read alot of problems about it, in fact both xarmor and razer are made under the same manufacturer..
