Are there any recommended methods to clean or prevent the keyboard from dust?

I put the plastic cover provided by Ducky on the keyboard whenever I do not use the keyboard but still a lot of dust accumulates on my keyboard. Not surprising because my room is open-air.

Wet cloths are only so good at cleaning the keyboard. I need something more convenient.

I haven't tried those portable vacuum... I don't know if they are really effective considering the dust actually sticks on the keyboard quite well.

air can. put upside down and spray it.
or just go and get data vac.

i just updated my noppoo review.
added:

Price: 11/10
Noise: 10/10
Quality: 10/10 !!!!! ( might change later, after i figure out the inside )
Feel when typing: 10/10
Overall: 10/10
The Look: 8.5/10 (not for everyone, but could be better)

Pros of noppoo choc mini:
  • NKRO over USB
  • their lasered method on the cap
  • plate mounted.
  • solid.
  • POM cap
  • their CAP profile, make a lot of difference when typing on the cherry mx.
  • Good price.
  • Not too bright LED
  • Very very long USB cable.
  • Compact layout

Cons
  • Overall build can be more solid.
  • the leveling feet need to be more solid, is SNAP ON type. but a bit loose. Tighter will be more solid example by Undarken. but it totally works fine, Don't have to worry about it.
  • Don't support MAC OS Reported here by polpo
  • built in a Detachable USB will be NICE.
  • Snap on type instead of screw? i personally like this but will be nice if it can be more secure.
  • Lasered on the cap are a little bit uneven. my little is unnoticeable

Moogle, can you comment on the difference between cherry brown switches and your g15? Is cherry brown switches lighter?

I was working with a dell membrane keyboard. Keys are very light and when I went back to my 7g I just could not get used to cherry blacks again. So Im looking at cherry browns now.
*
cherry mx brown compare to cherry mx black are big differents.
mx brown require way less force to press the key down for it to actuate.

The only option that fir in the budget will be BlackWidowExpert. sweat.gif
If you want to import from Taiwan then Ducky 1008 will be a better option(NKRO, 4extra keys and more choice of switches). It should cost less than RM 280(incluse postage) and buy more will be cheaper.
*
good recommendation!
new batch 1008 are better QC smile.gif

I hope is ducky. Waiting to see a Ducky-9008 with PBT double shot and cherry mx brown switches but mx red switch (so means linear non-clicky brown ^^)
*
there is no PBT double shot yet.
