i want to use my laptop as htpc.....i hv a ps3 nd 32" lcd tv....and sonic gear enzo 5000

is connecting all these devices together possible

eg...when i play ps3 the sound should be from the sonic gear 5.1 speakers

and when i watch movies from laptop the video output must be on the tv and the sound from the enzo speakers...

any hdmi output from your laptop ?

Yes it is possible. Though you may need to change the audio input to the Enzo every time you want to switch from PS3 to laptop.

connect your hdtv audio out to enzo 5000. then connect ps3 to ur hdtv normally.
u can also connect ur lappy to hdtv. it will be great if ur lappy got hdmi output.

i also use my lappy as a htpc but when i play 1080p movie from lappy through hdtv, it became lag.
this is becoz my lappy procs is not as powerful as pc. it was ok for normal avi file or 720p movie. it just can't handle 1080p movie.
now i think i need to buy proper htpc...

my laptop can handle 1080p iguess .....but my tv dont....LOL

yes it will, unless you connect the audio out of the tv to the speaker

hdmi will handle both audio & video from ur lappy. u don't have to worry becoz u already hookup that enzo with ur hdtv.
any audio from ur hdtv already out to ur enzo. just make sure u mute the hdtv speaker & used enzo 100% for optimum result.
if u still let the hdtv speaker on, u'll hear double sound & it's annoying
