Hi.. I used to have 200-300ms with tunneling service on Oceanic server..
Since the latest 4.0.1 patch.. my ping spike up to 600ms and constantly remain at that level.. sometimes even spike up to 20k ms..
I'm quiet sure there's nothing wrong with my streamyx as i can surf net smoothly and download at full speed..

anyone of you having the same issue?? anyway to solve this??

some say log into level 1 toon would make ping smoother

but from the looks of it, i think blizz haven't smoothen out some things yet becuz most of the time while i was lagged to the point i can't even log out, the chat still working smoothly... we are all currently guinea *beep* for the next patch

I am thinking we will have another big download inc. It is so damn boring. Just login do daily and logout. I already canceled my 6 month sub will end on Nov 1. Probably not coming back until Cata is out.

my patch is always installing some non critical files EVERY DAY!

same f*cking thing happened to me.. chat box is working but everything else in the game was frozen and having 20k ping and can't even log out.. need to alt+f4.. damn bliz

Do your clients still download in background while you play?

Yea. I'm facing the same problem trying to do 25m.
The game just lags to the point where the fight is still going on while I already see people gain their achievements.

What tunnel are you all using?
I'm using wowtunnels.
Contemplating to choose another one and try.

100% packet loss to Nagrand now....

WOW is now download something everyday to fix bugs and rubbish.
If you turn off the downloading then WOW is most likely to crash for no reason (since your version is not "up-to-date").

Sometime the whole server got frozen for no reason, no1 can do anything except the chat and it normally recover itself in 5-10mins.

Well, I would say we are now playing a BETA version where hotfix and debugging happened almost everyday.



PS: Try open Wow with the launcher and see if there's anything else to download.

sometimes, you'll noticed some spinning circles located at center top during playing; that shows that either blizz is collecting stuffs outta our pc, or doing their own silent patching from time to time...
