haih... i just flashed to doc kalpik v7 yesterday... 2day got doc kalpik v7.1.. zzzz..

hmmm...so try flashing doc's rom laa...hehehe...now i've finished download Doc's Rom V7.1...will flash it 2nite coz my batt. 43% left...hhuhuhu...

Did you read the instruction, it says you need CWM to flash it.

1. Download the ROM (check above) and put it on your internal sdcard.

2. Download clockworkmod recovery from here. You *need* Clockworkmod, this won’t work with stock recovery.

3. Rename the clockworkmod recovery file to “update.zip” and put it on your internal sdcard.

ok...today manage to upgrade to JPA...

then managed to install Doc Froyo JPA7.1 rom

then downloaded Dena theme....an addon for JPA v7......

and now.....unable to type anything as the samsung keyboard dont pop up when im trying to write a message.....sighhh

already check the setting>locale and text>select input method....but still cant.....

anybody have this issue

bro if you get something like swype unable to launch error, then go to place where you got the rom, there should be a keyboard fix file in there. you need to download it, put the zip in your sdcard and go to clockword recovery and update it, just like what you did for the jpa rom

01. Disable Voodoo if have it installed (create a folder named “disable lagfix” inside the “Voodoo” folder on your internal sdcard and reboot). If you’re coming from sztupy’s kernel, disable all lagfixes.

i dont use voodoo, so cant confirm, but i did read bout the above step.

02. Make sure have the 2e recovery. If you don't have 2e recovery, see FAQ.
=what is 2e recovery? isit like the clockmode? anyone got details for this? i tried the FAQ but i scare i understand it wrongly

There is a link there in XDA thread, or u can root ur phone, back up the folder again, explain in XDA

04. Factory reset is NOT required, but is recommended. Wipe cache and dalvik cache if you’re not performing a factory reset.

Reading verywhere that we need the 3 button recovery working before attempting any flash. Tried 3 button on mine, goes into task manager. Not the recovery mode. So how? Can I still proceed with flash?
Checked XDA on how to restore 3 button recovery but seems damn risky as many have bricked their phones doing it.  Any advice anyone?

it's quite complicated tho'..want to ask...if we flash back to original firmware..does it change back the product code?...eg. from KOR to XME
