QUOTE(Harddisk @ Oct 24 2010, 01:09 AM) USB debugging is not really necessary for accessing the drive in the phone. Just the USB mounting thing will do. yeah..i know..but sometimes we i connect my phone using normal connect mode..copy files option does not appear even after i choose mass storage or media player...but when i enabled usb debugging, copy file option always available every time i connect to my pc..albeit of samsung kies option..USB debugging is needed if want to access the phone using adb.exe though. |

I applied Voodoo Beta 4 kernel yesterday night right before I sleep. The phone and I was sleeping and untouched for 8 hours 14 minutes. When I woke up, 52% battery left from full. Reason, the phone shows running for 7h 57m. My battery saving phone became super battery eater. Almost 50% in one night. [/quote mengsuan...you on eclair right...because voodoo beta4 is for 2.1..why don't you try voodoo3 with jm8 kernel..i used it with my stock eclair and no battery eater.. but sorry i forgot the link from xda... |

QUOTE(guppy @ Oct 26 2010, 10:33 AM) Yep, that's my experience as well. Voodoo is built off the open source kernel released by Google. Samsung has done lots of customizations on top of this kernel that improve battery life tremendously (on the Galaxy but that isn't saying much). I'm on the JM8+Voodoo4 kernel and it's been going ok so far. correcto de mundo....i'm right now..lay back and playing and tweaking this device until it's bricked or my head break..heheAs much as I'd like to believe this, SamFirmware is not Samsung official and hence, it's no more than an unsubstantiated rumour at this point. I'll believe it when I see it. The Galaxy S and all its problems (lag, GPS, mysterious power drains, half assed Froyo implementation) and Samsung's inability to acknowledge much less fix them has seriously made me think twice about owning any future Samsung products. if then samsung fixed all those problem then..sunshine will shine again..hehe |

QUOTE(freakfingers12 @ Oct 26 2010, 11:15 AM) Arghhhh! Maxis gives people so much trouble! My line got barred again. that's why i'd gladly to pay rm500 to terminate the contract when i bought this phone...I've only used the phone for a week. My data charges for the first 2 days was not under data plan and they charged me over 1k for it, suspecting me of using 230MB+? This is unbelievable! Hey guys, in v5, there are a few people with overcharged bills from Maxis right? (emino and others...) How do you guys solve this? And did Maxis overcharge again? I am going to Maxis centre to settle this. yeah..some forumers here have experienced like you..some a bigger amount than you get...if not ameeru_aniki...4k iirc |
