Nope I don't have squeaky chrome problem nor the loose feel. Maybe it's subjective, but the light feel it has may have put you to thinking it's a defect cause it's not as chunky as the iPhone.
Hey guys, Froyo has the helicopter view in TWlauncher. Very nice! I got 1540 with Voodoo lagfix on JP6. Not impressive, but realtime performance seems a lot faster than the quadrant value.
General use is as fast as JM8/9 (w/2224 quadrant), but I see a tad faster performance in Froyo when it boils down to 100+ apps.

Battery life is good, I didn't restore my apps last night so I don't have batterylife, but when I woke up this morning (after probably 6 hours of standby) battery less by about 5% only. Not bad.

I flashed JP6 twice, the first time I lost market and I don't know how to restore it, tried factory wipe but still not there. So I flashed again.

Went through:
Flash ODIN JM8 (w/ repartition 512.pit)
Flash ODIN JP6 (w/o repartition 512.pit)
Flash ChainFire root (PDA only CF-Root-JP6-v1.2-Busybox-1.17.1.zip)
Flash Voodoo lagfix (PDA only Voodoo 5 pre6)

Hi guys, i flashed my ROM to Darky's Raw Steel Edition, but now i cant receive any incoming phone calls. I can only call out.

Messaging works fine. Is there anyone with the same issue?

which JG4 are you looking for (DXJG4, XXJG4)? and what are you going to do with it? as far as i know, only froyo firmwares need kernel to do rooting stuff, other than that never knew the use for kernel. rooting for 2.1 doesnt need the kernel

Just default DXJG4 firmware. I want to do z4mod.

Thanks I'm downloading the kernel. I'll see if I can further modify the kernel to give more RAM for application. I'm going to try modify the shared memory amount.

That time during sept 23... I adi wait till i wanna slap someone face adi.... then they say change to mid of OCT..

Then got confirmation saying by halloween .. or at least 30th Oct will release new firmware..
Now Oct gonna end soon ... What now?? wait for news to say end of November?? then November ends wait for more news saying December comes??
or wait for samsung to say.. "Froyo update for asia countries can stop dreaming now cause we aint coming out froyo"
Seriously... if they dont release froyo by OCT.... i will stop buying samsung products and sell away the galaxy S..
No froyo NVM... but the Crap of a GPS and lag havent fix realy TICKS me off!!!!

how do i make sure the AP set i am goin to buy is not korean unit? cause I read the front page, it says press *#1234* and it shows what?

and i never heard of new firmware by Halloween..(now not even end of the month but already make noise )
if u dun like it then sell off the phone and get something else..no1 really give a damn about it and the life still go on...
