aside from the game you posted,which i'm not sure is true or not since i've never touched it, some PSEYE games are also region locked-they wont load properly.
but aside from those,there's no widespread issue of this(unless WRC 2010 is considered widespread? )

thing is, this type of bs always happens,and people always get worked up for no reason.

and as always, they'll skip the facts and straight away play the blaming game.

speaking of facts, here are a couple:

1)we dont know what the(supposed) region lock inserted together with the firmware does.
is it for games?or for apps?or both?or neither?! hell,is there even such a thing to begin with?cos this is the first time i've heard of it.
whatever it is,the screenshot they showed certainly is from an APP.
so if they region lock an app like netflix,what's the harm?
it's not like we're ever gonna get it,as it's US ONLY.

2)websites need hits-sensationalising something is bound to generate hits. this is one good example. skewer the facts and take advantage of gullible people.-instant traffic
