OK, manage to log into game now. I have created a worgen rogue. My ingame nick is lchee. Please add me into your guild and help me to start in this server if possible. Thanks for all the pointers so far. I got free play for the next 10 days right?

Got some problem. I was able to login to game just now. Then i restarted my computer. Now I try to launch the WoW client, it says insufficient space. I have like 7GB free on my C drive. Is 7GB free space still not enough to launch the game?

I cleared up some space. Now when I try to launch the client, it starts downloading the game. I wonder what happened? I was already playing in the server earlier in the evening, proving my client was alright. All of a sudden now it seems to need to download like another 4.7GB of files before I can start playing. Weird. I checked my WoW folder, it is now 21GB. Damn... something wrong i guess.

WOW folder need 22GB + , mine is around that.

Btw, u can't join a guild when u in trial...chii think

wow need around 22GB+, and its only gonna get larger, so make sure u have the space for that.

K, wow US is now upgrading to 4.1

Depends on how u set up your wtf,

if u set it to auto upgrade patch then, u might have some problem there, because if that is the case, then ur wow client will upgrde to 4.1 (US) while wowtaiwan still remain in 4.06 until this Thursday (morning, malaysla time) for maintenance and update to 4.1

There is no easy way for u to revert back to 4.06 once u upgrade to 4.1, unless u roll back / repair and redownload.

Thats why i always prefer manually change wtf to update.

Now, u check whether yours updated to 4.1

ic, wow really is big folder. I am still using the default US update server. I think what I am downloading now could be the patch to 4.1. Guess I will have to wait till thursday night to play at wow taiwan. Downloading the patch gonna take till tomorrow morning.

Wow, you have some serious addiction with chii.. hahaha.... anyway.... how big is the patch from 4.0.6 to 4.1? My launcher is saying I require to download something like 4.5GB of files. Is that the same for you chobits? As I am only using 1MB streamyx, i just leave it download at home for now. Should be done by this evening. Which means no WoW taiwan for me tonight as well until WoW taiwan update to 4.1

I am now using the trial account. So i believe no trade, no whisper, no mail and cap at lvl 20. Would like to know the easiet way to activate my account. Is there anyone in the guild a tailor? I need some bags to start off in this WoW server.

Few things to note:

One, the download itself might not equal to the actual file size, once updated it might go bigger. Than 4gb or so that u downloaded. So as I said, just get ready.

Two, ya I can send u some bags and stuff. We come to that later.

Now in this very moment, just ensure the transition from 406 to 4.1 being done smoothly.

Abeit all the trouble, this game will worth every onch of ur time.

chii deleted 8.0gb space for the update. now chii cannot even open the game client, got error. need to wait tmr for wowTW to update den only can play..

if you accidentally upgraded to 4.11 then to keep playing copy the old wow.exe (4.06) over

backup the new wow.exe first though!

this seems to work as 4.11 is an incremental patch, ie the large mpq files are the same

damn, after downloaded the patch 4.1 got some problem. Cannot launch wow at all. Seems like I gotta redownload the whole install again. Is there any existing files patches from my current wow folder that I can save so that i don't need to redownload the full 15GB installer?

wow launcher can't open, will get error chinese msg.

ok, now when i click launcher "play" button, it will take like 30 seconds then wow game will appear. It used to be very fast, like 2 seconds then the login screen appear. Also, in 4.0.6, my login screen was in english. But now it became chinese character. Is this normal? I still cannot login though, since wow taiwan still not yet update to 4.1

Hidden, why do you say don't use launcher to start WoW, instead use the exe file directly? I know that can be done, but why skip the launcher?

Microwave work. But I'm not knowing the tehnology behind it. Just be patient and wait until everyone get patch and update. Only then able to identify problem arise

If u mean default wow ui, the only way to change that to english is to play wowtaiwan with englist client (us or eu)

If u mean about addons then, addons are universal, and yes u can use english addons

chobits, same with me! after i patched, my english client patched with the chinese client !!! launcher is english but wow.exe is chinese version

no problem, rename realmlist.wtf and patch again

and delete the zh-tw folder afterwards

To tcl01 server maintenance at this very moment. Usually thursday morning. Addon wise, dun have any such tralation aDdon to recomend. Now the server is patching from 406 to 41, so let's free the thread for this problem first.

BaZza, help to update thread with the known issues and troubleshoot pls.

Added on April 28, 2011, 1:15 pmIt seems to me wow maintenance extended, and client did turned into chinese when using taiwan realmlist with US client. Was normal when it was still US realmlist.

new update hotfix, updating new 1.1gb patch.

if you have the problem of it crashing trying to run the chinese client

try editing config.wtf and delete portal=' '
or just delete the config file
