I've bought an XPS15 too on 18th, but until now the order status on their website shows 'order received'. any idea why?

I'm planning to call up tomorrow morning to ask about my order status.. I called them a few days ago and they told me it was still in pre-production stage. i ordered the RM3,499 one and only added the backlit keyboard thing..

i just got off the phone with dell and they told me that my laptop is STILL in pre-production stage (it has been 6 working days already since i ordered the laptop), though he did say that my laptop would most likely be done and arrive by next friday o_o

i used credit card to purchase. i called dell once again and they told me it was because of parts shortage. hard disk to be exact

i have to say, i'm a pretty impatient person.. i really do hope the laptop is worth the wait ._.

you ordered yours on the 29th, and it says 3 days to give an estimated delivery date. i believe when the estimated delivery date for your order would be somewhere around xmas since i ordered mine on the 18th and right now its only in manufacturing build complete. my estimated delivery date was originally on 13th of december but they've just changed it to 8th today..

does anyone have any idea whats the difference between the Intel WiFi Link 6200 Half Mini Card and the Intel Wireless Network Card 6300? Seems like you need to pay an extra RM48 for the 6300.. I wonder whats the difference between those two.. anyone care to explain?

my E.D.D just changed from 8th december to 14th december on the dell orderstatus page o_o

i've already received a call from dell on monday saying that my laptop will be delivered on wednesday.. i think the order status on the webpage isn't real. maybe some glitch caused the E.D.D to change.

but if you realised, the old RAM prices were all dual-channel rams.. whereas the new rams, only the 8gb ram is dual-channel.. my ram knowledge isnt good but thats just what i realised..

my laptop is supposed to arrive today.. i'm so excited!!

i've just gotten my lappy this morning and all i can say that its definitely worth the money and worth the wait. i waited 3 weeks for this laptop and it finally came this morning. i have no complaints and regrets whatsoever on purchasing this laptop

btw just a quick question, i have a Cooler Master Notepal U2 cooling pad and i have no idea how i should position the fans to give the laptop the best cooling it can get.. does anyone have any suggestions? all help will be appreciated
