My EDD is still "It may take up to 3 business days for your estimated delivery date to be available." doh.gif I ordered a week back on 13 Nov. Called them up to check on it and they ask me to wait a few more days.

im interested too in its practical transfer speed using a usb3.0 ext hdd through its usb 3.0 port on dell xps 15....haha biggrin.gif
*
It also depends on the ext hdd data transfer rate, for non-SSD should be 70+ MB/s, SSD will be much faster.

I meant which component gives the lowest sub score with i7's Windows Experience Index.

Btw, congrats on receiving your lappy. How long did it take you from order date?

4gb
500gb 7200.4
1366x768

Ohh.. just what I wanted, thanks. Which Dell store did you go to? I thought Dell does not have stores?

Hmm... looking at the scores, even if you choose SSD, your score will still be limited by RAM.

Hmm so for processor rating, i5 is 6.7 and i7 is 7.1. Just .4 difference only.

I'm planning to call up tomorrow morning to ask about my order status.. I called them a few days ago and they told me it was still in pre-production stage. i ordered the RM3,499 one and only added the backlit keyboard thing..
*
I had to wait for about a week before my status finally moved away from pre-production. I had to call up and email them before that and they finally told me the reason for the delay was parts shortage.

ya i think so.....the i think backpack should be better since the dell XPS 15 weights around 2.8kg
*
Yes! Bagpack is a must! I've gotta admit XPS 15 is heavy even with a bagpack! I've been carrying it around Bukit Bintang today and it is tiring. So you can't be carrying it for very long.

can the backpack actually fit the laptop itself? i mean, its a 15.6' laptop, the bag is only 14'. I took the 17' messenger bag, hoping to sell it here to buy another bag
*
Yup, it does fit, I even asked them before I placed my order. But it fits somewhat tightly.

yes rm 10 for the windows 7 home premium dvd
Actually you won't be getting a cool Microsoft branded original Windows DVD. It's just a set of Dell branded DVD for OS and Dell software factory restoration discs - which you can burn yourself using the software pre-installed on your laptop. Wasted my RM10.
