Dear fellow Forte owners, I just test drived a 1.6 SX unit recently as I am quite interested to get it. I do however feel it is slightly underpowered, what say all of u? I am however very pleased with the interior as I think the quality is top notch and NVH on the unit I driven is very impressive. Is there any particular problem with the Forte that I should be wary about should I decide to buy it? How about the 2.0 SX? Is it a fuel guzzler or pretty okay compared to say Civic or Sylphy or Altis?
One of the complaint that I think I saw is regarding the Forte having the problem of swirling to the left despite alignment is it? Any other advice is appreciated too.

Thanks guys, so the 1.6 is truly a cruiser rather than having a strong pickup. How about the 2.0 guys? Any feedback? I am interested in the 2.0 for the supposed power (156 hp) and the airbags. But I've seen some videos on youtube and suprisingly even the 2.0 has a above 10 sec 0-100 time?

@izputra
Have u tried the 0-100 for your 2.0? How many secs? And is it a big difference in terms of power compared to the 1.6 SX since u said u've driven that a few times as well?

QUOTE(izputra @ Dec 6 2010, 10:56 AM) Yaa..more than 10s for 0-100 timing. Anyhow, i dont take that split second different in acceleration time as a serious matter as what matter to me (when buying the 2.0 Forte) are the 6 airbags + cruise control + extra 'kick'. I'm driving like uncle anyway One full tank can get how many km bro on mixed driving? Thx

QUOTE(TxMan @ Dec 6 2010, 11:18 AM) My average 2.0 can get me around 550km on average (average pump 47L BHP 97) I normally drive to Putrajaya/KL/Damansara/Puchong but usually not on peak hour. Ok got it, thx. I'm from Penang so I guess I can easily get that mileage too as it rarely jams here QUOTE(izputra @ Dec 6 2010, 11:19 AM) Nope..i dont have the intention to try it. I'm a 'tame' driver, dont have that spirited driver characteristics to test it out..sorry. Comparing to the 1.6SX, of course the 2.0 will give u a more lively car..feel lighter + extra 'kick' to overtake. To say whether got big difference between those 2 cars, it is quite subjective i must say coz my 'big difference' might be not the same as your 'big difference'. So the best solution is to test both cars by yourself. Since that there's no 2.0 test drive car, kindly join our TT to test drive one. Perhaps u can test drive my car also Added on December 6, 2010, 11:24 amFor mixed driving, should be able to reach 500km/tank with ease subjected to your right foot Oh don't think able to bro but thx for the offer. I am from Penang and I assume you guys are mostly from KL right? Yea, I'm a very light footed driver but I do appreciate a car that can give me the extra kick should I need it hehe.

QUOTE(limited007 @ Dec 21 2010, 02:07 PM) got called by my SA .. next shipment forte will increase price.. 4-5k he pushing me to get the car now instead of waiting for the white... only black and silver available.... Not sure how far is true but I've received news from the salesman that I was enquiring the Forte that prices for Forte SX would be RM 88,300 after 23 Dec 2010. Maybe the 6-speeder is coming or maybe just some hoax to get ppl excited to buy year end stocks We shall see
