Went for first service today(1000) at Jalan Api..the only service center in Melaka

Booked at 2pm one day earlier but only managed to reach at 3pm..to my surprise one of the staff (i think the mechanic) did not want to accept reason being 'ada 4 lagi kereta belum siap'...wtf only 4 cars left but didnt want to accept then wat's the point for making appt?

At the end have to make noise and talk to manager only willing to accept...damn that also no chance to fix my car seat squeaking sound. was glad enough anyway to service cause mileage already 1.1k and wont be able to sneak out anymore this week for service

Only had petronas mineral oil..no semi synthetic..so have engine oil changed for rm60 plus oil filter for rm20.total rm80 plus free washing.not stock for oil gasket but the fella said nvm...can change next service. Is it ok not to change the oil gasket?and also the price is rm90 for petronas semi synthetic..is it so cheap?i normally use petronas semi syn for my waja and i remember the price is about 120..hmmm..anyone can clarify this?

Overall i rate this SC 1/10 for poor service and poorly equipped..will try to do my service next time in KL..previously had to tolerate all the nonsense from SA and now poor service from SC..dunno why they have to make is so frustrating to own a naza branded car...

But luckily the joy of driving the car can still overcome all the frustration from their poor service..the ride is good with the stock 15' rim..fuel consumption is about 15sen/km at the current ron95 price with mix driving..way better than i expected from a Korean make (my manual waja cps consume the same amount). those who still complain that korean cars are fuel guzzler are living in the previous era..

The sum it all up at the moment...good and economical car to have provided u can put up to all those bullshit from the SA and SC

Friend, you at Melaka too? i always saw many forte overhere but i don know who is member who is not...
Jalan Api? is it SC near Fajar there?

Yup just got posted to Melaka recently but bought my car form KL...yup the SC is near Fajar the one and only one SC

and from wat i learn la.. gasket is not reuseable la.. once open need to be replace la.. u should complain gao gao..
and i think we Melaka Fortezen gotta organise and group together and have a small TT la.. how is ur FC by the way... i always get around 11.5l/100km around Melaka town to Ayer Keroh.... sighhhhhh cry.gif
*
That was what i thought because i use to change it everytime i service other cars but then what to do they have no stock anyway...any sifus can confirm?

My fuel consumption is about 15sen/km about 7 to 8l/100km from Melaka to Jasin..not so much of traffic...why your FC so high?is it 2L model?where u send ur car for servicing?

acceptable in ur point of view but like i said wen i tot it was an issue but i guess it's not anymore ,.. u guys had been utilizing the door locks well,..but still beware as it can be open even if d car is running,...mayb tis is a safety feature for kidnapping, u may jump of the car at anytime time !! lol tongue.gif
*
Toyota models have this feature as well...so its not a defect... anyway off topic do u guys know anywhere to get 15' rims...find it hard to get the rims especially for our modal because it requires 5 nuts rims rclxub.gif

For the door opening, what I think they "missed" was the car would unlock even when the car is moving at 110km/h. They should have some safety feature there. The fact is that while moving the door will actual quickly lock back, but the problem is that the door is already a little opened before the lock kicks in (I know because I tried it on the highway sweat.gif)...so they need this safety feature against "experimenting engineer adults" like me  tongue.gif

Regarding rims, I think you can find a lot of second hand 15" at tyre/rims shops, a lot of them are quite new as the owners change them not long after getting new car....that's because a lot of people with thick 15" would upgrade to 16" or 17" for improved handling.

But for new 15" light sport rims, yeah it's a pain to find them.... rclxub.gif
*
The problem is our model uses 5 nuts rim which is hard to come around...even for 16' rim also usually can get one or max 2 designs only.. i am enjoy my ride with the current 15' rim..handling still stable at 150km/h tested on my way back from KL to melaka yesterday...not willing to sacrifice my ride's comfort for bigger rims..overall happy with my current setting

You are already using 15"?  biggrin.gif  So it means trying to find a better looking one la....

I think when people refer to "handling' it's referring to the "feel of cornering" plus the stability. On highway it's mostly quite straight I think (unless you corner on the ramps  brows.gif). When I downgraded from 17" to 16", I can feel that the turning feel isn't so good. But I chose some good tyres so the grip is still quite good, just that it's a little more wobbly and less firm due to higher profile. But ride comfort is what I wanted.

Another thing to consider is offset...try not to find an offset that's too far away from stock, otherwise there will be difference in steering precision and suspension characteristics. I've got a thread going on in Autoworld: http://forum.autoworld.com.my/index.php?showtopic=96641. Can just use as reference.  smile.gif
*
Wow seem so complicated just to change rims..i thought just get the size u want plus design can di....too many complicated terms which i dun understand rclxub.gif PCD?offset? Can explain a bit sifu?

Mine is EX model only comes with steel rim plus cap...very ugly... wish to get better looking rims to suit my beauty wub.gif

Actually bro im just wanna know is there any know issues on this car, thats all...  ive never doubted forte before... its a Very good car smile.gif,,, hell... im getting mine after chinese new year... just want to prepare the umbrella before the storm.. smile.gif.. if you wanna get a car... u need to know the car itself 1st right?? i heard there's a saying for proton cars " Dont buy until the 2nd batch of production" hahah, ive been waiting for almost a year just to check whether is there any problem with forte.. and it was a good decision anyway.. i'll be getting the 6speed one..!!!  nod.gif Yeah..!!  icon_rolleyes.gif  just like getting a girl cool2.gif .. u need to know her 1st,then you know how to care for her right...  rclxms.gif
*
After 6 weeks with 6k mileage, so far no major issues...water vapor in the front 2 lamps disappear with usage.. squeking sound from front driver seat resolved on its own after 1 month usage..didnt even bother to fix it..maybe i am too heavy..sound disappear with my heavy weight on it...fuel consumption is acceptable for a 1.6. ride is more towards comfy setting

in summary..its a car that serves its purpose without having to pay extra for other brands with similar or even lower spec

Enjoy.... smile.gif
