u car got new car smell?

mine don't have 7 months ago when I pick the car...dunno why...ahh how I miss that smell...

This week i face the problem of starting the car twice. I pressed the pedal few times(and the pedal become harder and harder), yet the car can not start. then i checked the white thingy near the break pedal, confirm it came out every times i pressed the pedal but still can not be started. then i slot in the key, notice there is LED light underneath the key slot, then i removed the key. try to pressed the pedal again, pushed the button, then only the engine roared. Anyone face this problem before ? from previous posts by other owner, we know that the engine can not be started due to the sensor(white thingy) is not come out after we press the break pedal. but this time i confirm it was out but still can not start. Anyone face this issue ?

juz nw, i at car paint shop...
there's 1 current generation vios owner there....
wanna repaint the bumper(F)(bit dented)...
when he ask bumper OEM hw much...the SA quote him RM500 without installation/paint.
then he come and repair by himself, repaint and do some touch up jobs...cost him RM1xx only...
coz his plate is KCU, and mine is KCS...means his is newer car
he saw my forte which is in paint shop, he ask me, how much is my Forte, i said RM82k(81800 closest figure), then he said WOW! his is 81k ald, which juz 1k difference between VIOS E and Forte 1.6SX. he take a look at the back of the car, inside, really leave him speechless.
then i asked him, y didn't he choose Forte 1st? he only answer is....he dunno where is KIA dealer in Alor Setar, and i was juz feel like =.=''

1) As has been said many times in the past, resale values comparisons should only be made for cars at least 5 yrs old. Cars between 1-3 yrs old will depreciate about the same regardless of brand name.

2) Well, im not that smart but smart enough to know that changing a car when the car is problem free and serves the purpose is not a wise move. I rather invest in properties and gold trading (which i have done). This gives much higher returns and probably will enable me to retire comfortably at the age of 45 which is my target.

Agreed with ur statement bro DnG. I just try to give an example only. We can only earn money with car by trading? Lol. All in all, although forte might have low resale value but we already save a lot when we decided to buy this beast with so many features inside. We can get this machine in such a reasonable price we already jap dou loh since in s'pore, it is selling around 70k in SGD.. I'm so impatient to drive it. Lol.

there are many types of car buyers/owners

but despite all that, it comes down to some common consideration overlapping one or more considerations
1) how much you are willing to pay... (affects budget & model choice)
2) how much you are willing to bear... (affects year of repayment)
3) what is a car to you... (affects model/brand perception)

you all can argue till the cows come home, but dont forget each person has different standing on the 3 above, and how strongly they rate them.

eg. A might be average or slightly above, but he is willing to stretch his wallet (1) abit because to him, by choosing to pay 3~5 years (2) because he wants to keep his financial liability shorter. He rates financial freedom high. Car to him, (3) is just a transportation, therefore what matters is he will drive whatever his (1) n' (2) permits & he will drive it for as long as it is problem free. If he likes what he bought, it is even better.

situation above can also be, a person B, puts high placing for (3) but infact is not comfortable the financing, therefore he will try to go for the car he likes even if it means stretch the financing (2) to more than 7~9 years. and he doesnt mind the resale for sure because he is already pushing above his financial ability, just for the car he likes. to him, (3) is more than a transport, he simply wants to have it just as people who fancies new gadget or the prettiest girl they can find.

this is just a very basic example of the unlimited combination. the bottom thing is, not all buys/owns car for the fun of it, some because they need it at the same time being particular of their money & where it goes & how it is spent.

you dont go explaining to a person who spends thousand on branded goods that they dont need all that, because in the end of the day they might not rate money as highly as much as you do. it is even more so if they are actually able to afford it while still being comfortable financially.

similarly you also dont go telling people who lives their life moderately but have long term financial plans, for whatever reason they deem valid. (even being a millionaire) It could be they just dont rate material possession or hedonism as highly as you do, but prefer to have enough for everything they need until time can tell.

sorry for long OT post but i think you all should stop trying to find fault with each other. this is FnF, even the name of the forum thread shows it's more inclining towards (3) instead how much is it worth or the actual value of it. i really believe someone is mixing in the wrong segment while trying to advocate his own standing & POV.

Need your advice.

How long does it usually take for Naza Kia to deliver the car after payment of booking fee?  I was told by the SA that it will only take them 1 week.  I have waited for 1 week already but the car is no where to be seen.  SA has given various excuses from staff on leave to Hari Raya to system down etc.  Now they are saying I will get it only another week later, which brings the total waiting time to 2 weeks.  But I am not sure whether to trust them.  Plus, they want me to pay the full 10% deposit before I can see the car, but if I don't get the car, they say if I ask for refund, it will take 2-3 months!

The other thing is, they say they will take my car as trade in, but will not deduct the balance after repaying my bank from the total payment to Naza, because they say they will issue a separate cheque to me 3 days after I give my car in.  In other words, I have to pay the full 10% downpayment by cash, although I will be getting some cash back from trade-in.

Could someone please guide me on the procedure for trade-in and the waiting duration?  Mine will be Titanium Silver Forte 1.6sx
