Inspira is lighter than Forte, therefore it is more powerful than Forte...
driving experience, still feels Forte better...since i owned a 4spd F1.6, still no regrets, still feels it's very good, wonder why u all said it sucks? |

QUOTE(sonyman @ Feb 12 2011, 04:31 PM) had a go with the Forte FL just now, very nice. Tried the EX version, just wanna feel the 6 speed and gear change. Now seems like the car is much lighter. The rear camera is very nice, but unfortunately the lines red, yellow and green cannot move. I think Kia forgot to include the wire to the steering. If that one has a park assist. it is really really cool, Waja full tank is 55L-60L....that's y it can go up so high..Other things are about the same. Just wondering now if it is worth the buy. Also i wanna ask Forte Owners. 1.6L what is a full tank millage 2.0L what is the full tank millage. My waja can get about 650KM for a 54L of petrol can the old 4 speed forte beat the specs.? Added on February 12, 2011, 3:36 pmAlso i would like to ask. The Gema Engine used here is it still single valve timing? Or is it dual? . Forte max at 50L...mine can clock at 550km for full city drive using RON97, while 480km for RON95 Gema engine and theta using dual valve timing...as standard.... but new optima and sportage, same goes with sonata, came with D-CVVT, equal to toyota's Dual VVT-i |

QUOTE(DevilsForte @ Feb 13 2011, 06:21 PM) kidding la....hw much it cost?? and what's the different between normal LED strip?Added on February 14, 2011, 2:20 am QUOTE(RayTitus @ Feb 13 2011, 11:34 PM) Dear Forte Owners, Get 2.0SX ....1.6SX is for more economical, but u certainly nid some mods or add ons, to increase the performance...planning 2 get it at next service..Am planning to get the Forte but still unsure to get either d 2.0SX or 1.6SX as both the SA that served me at TTDI and Ampang Point is "unsure" of their product especially the comparison between those cars.-.-" To decide, I am in need of some assistance from you owners of Forte. I would love to know whats the difference between the 2.0 & 1.6 engine apart from the capacity. Whats the FC like between those 2 as I am driving within city 90% of the time. Would 2.0 be able to take Ron95? I've tested both 2.0SX with 6-speed & 1.6SX with 4-speed (cant seem to get 1 1.6SX with 6-speed) and I noticed that when cornering above 60km/h the car seems to drift a little...any particular reasons for that? Seems a bit unstable but both the SAs are clueless... Lastly, have any of you faced problems with the car either mechanically, after sales services or parts shortage? Your assistance is much appreciated and would help me to decide better on my upcoming Forte...Thanks in advance! Ray Added on February 13, 2011, 10:37 pm Opppsss...forgotten...1 last thing...it seems that the bodykit provided costs differently with different outlets. The TTDI outlet charges me extra RM2k for the same bodykit which the Ampang Point only charges extra RM500 for both the 2.0SX & 1.6SX. Is there some standardisation issue or TTDI SA trying to get more buck out of me? This post has been edited by XionCity: Feb 14 2011, 02:20 AM |

Both 2.0 and 1.6 can support 97 and 95...but not for the GDi engine, that's why the FL version can't use it as korean have it..
GDi engine, for 97 also can't use..minimum of RON99(like V-Power Racing) 1.6 performance mod : 1. Iridium Spark Plug 2. Simota/K&N drop-in Steel Air filter 3. Erictioh's Ground cable+Erictioh's Voltage stabilizer If u all say SA, i recommended Sungai Petani 1...pm Adwin Low in this forum, he's the SA for Sungai Petani....if for SC, Alor Setar and Sungai Petani also can, but don't know about the Juru/Autocity 1... RayTitus : I have, but that was after my car fixed from the accident..coz some parts might see in very good conditions, but already defect... like my power steering hose, and my bonnet's left leg, keep on giving me squeaky sounds mamasos : Forte only Hybrid LPi version have CVT 4spd, but not available in nearby countries and our country(Thai, Sg, Indo, Brunei, Malaysia) Added on February 14, 2011, 11:13 am QUOTE(RayTitus @ Feb 13 2011, 11:34 PM) Dear Forte Owners, If for pure city drive, go for 1.6 EX version, if Highway, 2.0SX...both can take RON95....Am planning to get the Forte but still unsure to get either d 2.0SX or 1.6SX as both the SA that served me at TTDI and Ampang Point is "unsure" of their product especially the comparison between those cars.-.-" To decide, I am in need of some assistance from you owners of Forte. Ray As for cornering, for SX version hv 2 turn on TCS, so it won't be unstable for cornering... After sales services is consider NOT BAD acually, compare with Proton. Parts shortage is depends on how many Forte(s) had been into accident in the whole Malaysia, if too many, sure not enough lo(like mine in the case, 3 Forte(s) accident here already, at that time... QUOTE(fourteh @ Feb 15 2011, 11:37 AM) Hi, I think there is a problem with the 1.6 4spd Forte from the TTDI showroom! It was the first unit Forte I have tested & I was really disappointed when I floored the accelerator after coming out to Jalan Damansara from Caltex..... nothing oomph at all! Luckily I did not give up on Forte as I did not believe the car to be so bad. yup. coz Forte mainly design for 2.0 and above, as in world standard. After that, I have done test drives at other branches (Subang Jaya, Sunway & Naza Auto Mall) & found the the cars there performing better. Acceleration not quick mainly due to the 17inch rims Naza decided to put on the 1.6 which I think was a bad mistake! If they have gone with nice 15 or 16 inches with a 1.6L engine, the performance would have been better & more sales can be made. I am looking to buy a 1.6L Forte in the coming 3 months. Right now there may be other options around the same price range, i.e., City and Inspira, which may be better buys with branding, after-sales service, spare parts availability & bigger engine but my heart & head turns every time a Forte passes me by so I know which car I am in love with! so, 17'' rim ald standard in all SX version, juz swap with 1.6 engine and ECU. that's why they came out with 1.6EX version, which is really more optimized for 1.6 engine... anyway, i never regret with my 1.6SX, coz i can felt the grip on the road, while much better cornering compare with my dad's G.Livina and my old AE101, while never sacrifice any heavy FC(except if i floor the accelerator) |

If u wan really excellent FC, save up to RM140k for Toyota PRIUS...
If u wan in Forte terms of good FC, 1.6EX is the best for u... If u wan more performance, then 2.0SX.... If u wan best for price, then 1.6SX Added on February 15, 2011, 11:03 amby the way, FC always depends on ur right foot, brakes and accelerator... even if u uses PRIUS, maintaining below 50km/h, definitely uses petrol too...
