QUOTE(letmein @ Nov 19 2010, 11:42 PM) Last week I went to PJ using Lebuhraya Mahameru from KL. The road was wet with drizzling rain. my previous wira also face same situation like that vios but i manage to control & prevent the car from making 'donut' in the middle of highway....lucky my gaming skill save my life In front of me, there was a Vios (probably the latest version) cruising at about 100km/h at the fast lane and I was following right behind but kept a safe distance of about 4-5 cars space. When passing under the parliament bridge where the big curve to right, all a sudden the Vios rear starts skidding to left and start spinning 360 degree! you saw in the movie. I sense the danger and immediately engage the brake to avoid direct hit to the Vios. When I pressed the brake, I heard a sound “kluk” from the rear and felt the car like being pressed down. I felt the slippery for a fraction of a second but later was the traction of tire that I knew I am still going straight. The Vios spin for at least 3 rounds before it stopped in the middle of the road and luckily it did not hit the side crash barrier and no car from the left. I didn’t manage to stop by but I saw 2 passengers at the front seat with terrifying face. It was the first time I saw a car spinning in front of me and later I remembered my colleague had the same experience with his Vios (older version) at Kerinchi Link where it also happened when the road is wet. My colleague told me his car tires were having plenty of thread. Before this I was still thinking to downgrade the 17” rim to 15” for more comfortable ride but now I think wider tires have better grip. The lesson that I learn is slowdown when the road is wet and try to keep a safe distance from vehicle in front. I guess our car ESP really works. in my case, my car start to skid becoz a stupid waja suddenly overtake & brake in front of my car resulting i've to steer the stereng to prevent from crashing his car...suddenly steer the stereng during the raining day cauze my car start to skid but from my experience (gaming |

QUOTE(MadDigital @ Nov 26 2010, 11:24 PM) Today my forte was stuck at the side of the highway.. Feel sory for..btw, what is DTE shown?Ran out of fuel.. somehow the display was not obvious enough for me to notice.. So happily driving until suddenly engine shut down while driving. A passer by helped by buying me some fuel (1.5 L worth, big mineral water bottle). But after putting in, still not enough to start the engine. Still got the immobiliser sign. So the highway team had to tow to the nearest station. What is the min fuel level to start the engine? |

QUOTE(MadDigital @ Nov 28 2010, 01:08 AM) Didn't notice the DTE. But when the fuel is totally empty, the display just says LOW FUEL. and when trying to start without fuel, the immobiliser icon will light up. next time don't be mad bro maddigital...i always refuel my tank when DTE shown 70~90kmManaged to pump in 51.8 litres of fuel.. |

QUOTE(Kazuhito @ Nov 28 2010, 09:25 PM) Guys. I got a problem with my Forte. report to naza careline...next time, don't go there if u have bad expereinece with themLast 2 days my sister sent my Forte (because I'm busy with things, so I drove my sister's car) to Puchong's SC to have the 25k service. And on the evening, I took my Forte for a spin to check whether its a smooth driving. To my surprise, my car jerks (minimum jerk, I dunno what caused it) for quite sometime. I thot it was my engine idle timing, but thats not the case because the RPM didnt drop when it jerks. I give the car about 2 days (drive and pray la) to rectify the problem by itself, but nope. It still there. I checked my car's service report, and to my surprise (again) for the past 3 services, the SC uses 3 different lubricant (Synthium 800 (cost around RM98), 3000(RM100++) and another unknown name for the first service, cost RM200+). My questions: 1) Anyone experience this before? 2) Is it okay to use different viscosity of oil in each services? Any facts? 3) Should I bombard that SC for messing my car? This is the second time they mess with my car. (Last time it was the engine oil plug. The SC didnt tightened it, so my porch was flooded with lubricant. Went there, they replaced it, say sorry, and a set of porcelain by Petronas (u buy engine oil at Petronas, u get that free item.) I really pissed off right now. |
