QUOTE(all blacks @ Oct 22 2010, 05:05 PM) There is quite a number of reports reporting tat some senior player dun want to play anymore for RH n some r already consulting their agents.. These is getting worse, I juz hope it wasn't Torres or Gerrard.. eventhough this is most probably bullcrapif they both wanted to leave.. just leave. maybe when they are gone a better and younger replacement will comes. who knows.. at the end of the day the club wont crumble if they are not around. |

Yesterday, don't know whay I woke up and walked to the living room to switch on the TV to watch the game, but after the game, I felt very sad, Liverpool are playing in the lower standard Europe league, and we still playing badly. Now I just know one thing for sure, Liverpool are totally screwed up, if RH still acting and playing this shit tactic, Liverpool, very high chances, will be playing in the lower standard English league next year as well. i still remember that i never miss watching liverpool played in EUFA cup in an empty mamak corner with 2 best friends during GH years. max is about 7 - 8 people watching there. sad but at least no need to wait long to get your teh tarik |

played very well. soto was great today.. so does lucas. we need that win.
bit when blackburn start pressing on the last 20 mins or so the team looks shaky and keeps losing the balls. here's hoping it's a starting point for better days ahead.. |

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Oct 25 2010, 10:19 AM) The best performance of the season if you ask me and it isn't just because we won, it's because we played like a team hungry for 3 points. In the first half especially, we passed Blackburn into submission. We played some fluid attacking football and I reckon it was because Gerrard played further up the park, meaning we didn't have to punt the ball up for Torres to chase down. He provided a vital link between midfield and attack, and he got good support from Maxi, Lucas, Mereiles and Cole. We attacked as a unit, something I have rarely seen in recent times. I can safely say that it was Maxi's best showing in a red shirt. He tackled hard, got himself in dangerous positions with some intelligent running and kept the ball when in possession rather well. If not for some woeful finishing, the result would have been determined by half time. yeah the game was entertaining to watch. all the players played with confidence and spirit. the passing was flowing like it used to a couple seasons ago. though i should mention, this is when blackburn sitting deep and trying to hit on counter attack. it's a bit nervy after the 2nd goal scored and blackburn starting to press further up field. the team also looks like trying to hold on to 2-1 lead which is scary based on the defending situation right now. maybe they're tired after attacking since the game start.I mentioned earlier that our best defender of the season so far has been Kyrgiakos. He has put in decent shifts whenever he's called upon and it's no suprise to me that he made such a significant contribution last night. He was always a threat from setpieces and ensured our airspace was safe from aerial invaders. I'd like to think it was a shrewd decision to start him by Hodgson but I don't think he had a choice with Agger and Johnson being out. Blackburn are a dangerous team from set pieces and it made sense to have a defender who is strong in the air, start. They would have troubled Skrtel and Kyrgiakos more had they played the ball on the deck more, as other teams have. Instead they opted to play high crosses, which is something our giant Greek thrives on. An important point to note for me, was the body language shown by the players. When I saw Torres smiling at the beginning of the game, it gave me a good feeling. We played hard and we closed down the opposition. I'm really surprised it took Hodgson this long to take action. Torres looked happier having Gerrard right behind him and Stevie made a couple of invisive passes to him. Let's hope we keep the momentum going. all and all, i think soto and lucas was motm yesterday. i wish lucas could do that consistently especially when playing with an attacking team. torres starting to smile and team spirit is looking good. lets hope it's a jumpstart for this season. QUOTE(Duke Red @ Oct 25 2010, 01:30 PM) Like you I was a little nervous after Blackburn scored totally against the run of play. Up until that point they had offered nothing as an attacking force and a draw would have been hard on us. The decision to replace Kalinic with Benjani was a good one as he was more mobile and his movement did create some difficulty for us in the 2nd half. Thankfully, players like Mereiles and Lucas were working hard and backtracked really well. Oh yeah.. Lucas + Mereiles combo is something need to be explore more. They partnered up great. But I do think mereiles need to calm down a bit more. he got temper just like masch. his high stud challenge on the 2nd half were reckless.on a side note: joe cole time will come. i honestly believe he will be great once he truly settle in. and jonjo looks older than konchesky |

i'am ready to accept a draw but nice touch by torres (which was fairly poor in this game) and good finishing by maxi saves us. overall the team was ok but not that compose. as i said after the blackburn game, the team will struggle if the opponent pressures further up the field. a big challenge next week. i'll be honest a draw is a massive result.

english media gonna have field day after harry's team beat inter. oh how they wish bale was english.
what RB did is not wrong. he just want to clear his name regarding king kenny. he did not bad mouth LFC. he point his comment directly to RH. every news conference by RH has been embarrassing so far. RB > RH everytime. the team need to win against Napoli tomorrow. if not it will very hard to progress beyond group stage. eventhough I want RH to be replaced but I dont want it from the expense of we dropping out from Europa. I strongly believe NESV will do the right thing come january. |

Proof? inter got roflstomped by Tottenhan hotspur. One very good A grade team left behind by Jose, being made into craps again by that fat Spanish waiter again. Liverpool was lucky to offload him early, I was hoping they did it after they relegate first. This post has been edited by rushmode: Nov 3 2010, 04:14 PM |

QUOTE(madmoz @ Nov 3 2010, 06:59 PM) I disagree with both you and koolspyda, hood. i think RB would stop talking if RH and english media stop attacking and accusing him. he have left the country but still people couldn't let go. if you a public figure, would you stay silence when somebody accusing you done something you didn't do in news conference? RH should stick with his team.. so do RB.Pointing fingers and claiming that the other started the fight is both childish and dumb. If Rafa loves Liverpool so much then he should be keeping his gob shut. Did his outburst help anyone? There is something called dignity in silence, no? If I were Inter's president, I'd be giving RB an earful this morning. He's not LFC's manager anymore, he is Inter's. For me, as it stands, RB comes across as a bitter ex employee, nothing more. And your analogy to M'sian politics... sorry to burst your bubble but you too are no better than the majority of the PR supporters who only see 'evil' in BN. I too support PR, but some of the action of our leaders are disgraceful and we should not only listen to one side of the story. Otherwise we are no different from the BN croonies (and RB haters |

massive results.. i be honest to admit 1 point is good enough before the game started but after the 1st half i changed my mind. good job for the rest of the team!!
RH started with the best formation and decide to ask the players to pressure and attack instead of relying on counter-attack. it works and nicely done. Lucas was immense once again. I'm impressed. lets hope he continue to progress. Kuyt coming back and provide the team with options then help open up space for Torres. a bit nervy on the 2nd half.. drogba introduction made me worry because he seems to have a field day and killed carra whenever he played us but the team held on nicely and not allowing chelsea to play. also thanks to Pepe for 2 great saves!!! a very good day to start my week. here's hoping the team will go forward from now on! |

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Nov 8 2010, 03:45 PM) Comprehend before posting please. So what if I'm not captain of a football team, I'm not a footballer am I? So what if he's captain of Brazil's U-21 team? Doesnt mean he'll cut it in the Prem does it? Morientes was scoring goals for fun, then what happened? Shevchenko anyone? to be fair to Lucas does plays his heart out every game he played and never complaint much when liverpool own fans label his not good enough for the team. in fact the same goes to biscan and traore.. both pretty shite and criticized but still play without complain. and meijer.. well, meijer didn't get critisized because lack of play but still he didn't do much either. fans loves him because of his crazy antics and love for the club.I'm not blind to the fact that he was good at Gremio. His performance last night was reminiscent of his form in Brazil. I dont lable players after just one game. I know better than that after watching football for over two decades. It is a FACT that he (to be politically correct), struggled until the end of last season. What's wrong with calling a lemon, a lemon? If someone had a crap game, should be refrain for saying so? Let's use nicer words the next time. Here's another FACT. A player can be crap but like other Liverpool fans I appreciate work ethic. It's why I like less talented players like Biscan and Meijer. If Lucas plays his heart out each game, he'll draw no criticism from me or any other Liverpool fan. Like I said earlier, he had one of his best games in a red shirt this morning and I am happy for him. Doesn't mean my opinion of how he played prior has changed. I think it's worse to be a 'lalang' when it comes to opinions. i'm one of lucas bashers but for the past few games (at least 3 MoTM performance) he slowly become consistent. my judgement on him still more or less the same but at least he now showing some glimpse of why benitez stick with him. if he manage to play this good in major part of the season then he shouldn't be point as scapegoat and harshly criticize anymore. from now on, like any other liverpool players (not just torres and gerrard).. he needs support for us fans. don't cha think? oh, RH is still not fit for the club.. |

the goal from torres shows his confidence are back.. good for him.
still 10 points from 12 is a good step up from our horrible start this season. if we won against stoke that's 13 from 15.. good innit? but RH need to work on his away tactics. bring in poulsen to protect the draw is acceptable if you are fulham. how was lucas in this game? |

QUOTE(madmoz @ Nov 15 2010, 10:25 AM) On throwing - since when were players allowed to 'towel' the ball for throw ins? stoke game was a joke.. everyone was shite.. everyone. it shows how we miss an aerial guard (soto) when facing these kind of teams. the towel should be banned. more and more teams are doing it now.. pedersen at blackburn also doing it. FA should banned towel from being used and only allow a special jersey made of towel for the player. it was frustrating to see the player wait for the ball boy to passed them the towel. |
