QUOTE(super_evil_alien @ Oct 21 2010, 11:32 PM) bro~ from 1st page~ it says this~ "Step 1 Access your root using winscp (See network FAQS) or cute explorer Step 2 Download any (link below) and rename video to n900.avi Step 3 Copy the video to /usr/share/hildon-welcome/media Step 4 Go to /etc/hildon-welcome.d/ and edit the default.conf file with leafpad (or something like that) Your default.conf should be looking like this: [hildon-welcome] filename=n900.avi" but thing is~ i am using filebox to open that default.conf file in Notes, edit n try to save it~ but it says "files for read only"~ how to enable it for editing? |

QUOTE(super_evil_alien @ Oct 22 2010, 12:14 AM) Filebox is for read function only.Use WinSCP for easier root files editing purpose. nvm, manage to create new file from leafpad in another folder and copy n overwrite the ori file in filebox~ I found the whole "no taking out battery" too troublesome. Some of the issues raised by N8 owners can be solved if battery taken out. |

QUOTE(porselinaheart @ Oct 26 2010, 12:46 PM) Afaik you don't have to do any manual deletion of the update files, you should be fine. To clear repos, disable them and then update ( check 1st page guide as well ). for more advanced rootfs clearing, ( optifying files, etc ) need to refer to a TMO thread, i'll look for it and post the link later errrr~ pls do post the link~ coz i dont see any clearing rootfs guide on 1st page~ thx bro~ |

QUOTE(one1002 @ Oct 26 2010, 05:09 PM) the current version of tweak flash version is compatible with PR1.2..we have to wait for the latest driver of version of tweak flash for it to work with PR1.3..shouldn't be long by now..that's the advantage of QT4.7.. it works with PR1.3~ restore plugin to factory state and reapply the Froyo 10.1 flash again~ there u go~ |
