the account should only consist of user name, not the full email address....do not include "@yahoo.com"

if your email address is ABC@yahoo.com, your login detail should be ABC only..

over the air update using pc suite / nokia software updater (NSU)

backup everything using the application "default" in system..tick everything..once u have upgrade to PR1.3, click back to the system, backup..and restore..

if u do a fresh clean install including the VANILLA aka the internal memory (32GB), u have to transfer the backup file to externel hardisk (pc/laptop/portable HD)

that is why we prefer manually flash the firmware..

dont worry..

just download the PR1.3 image from tablets-dev.nokia.com..

then,manually flash it..

first,lets remove the battery for a minute or two..then,open the keyboard..while pressing U button, insert the USB cable..then...u should know the steps afterward.. =)

not really..to test if u can still flash it, just open the keyboard, press "U" and insert usb cable..if it boots up with a dimmed nokia logo and an USB icon on top right, that means u can still flash it..no worries..

there are no known issues of bricked N900 from an interrupted flashing

try "apt-get install python-hildon python-gtk2" via xterm

basically, the file can be named anything you want...

but the flasher command should use the renamed files..

eg : if u rename the fiasco (PR1.3) image to R.bin, then the command should be

"flasher-3.5.exe -f R.bin -F -R"

*note that you have to put the .bin file at the same folder with the flasher-3.5.exe..

always make use of the backup application whenever you are doing something that has risks in failing such as flashing, and installing kernel..also,make a habit to transfer the backup files in external drives (pc/laptop/hardisk) we never know when something bad gonna happen

do i have to uninstall titan's kernel power before flashing to PR1.3?

the current version of tweak flash version is compatible with PR1.2..we have to wait for the latest driver of version of tweak flash for it to work with PR1.3..shouldn't be long by now..that's the advantage of QT4.7..

check the distribution of catalogs..during PR1.2, the distribution is "fremantle-1.2"..maybe it should be fremantle-1.3..i don't know..i have no intentions of flashing to PR1.3 right now.. =P

obviously, all applications u downloaded are from those repos..

linuxmint is good enough provided you have the basics of linux..it doesnt matter what distro you are using, the commands are the same.. =)

the thing is..first of all..you need to read the whole instructions to get an idea of what you are doing..even better if you understand it..

don't just simply type in what they wrote..but understand it and you will have no problem at all.. =)

it might look difficult..but understanding the basic commands is really helpful..

eg : if the command "cd \home\user".."cd" is the abbreviation of "change directory"..

"mkdir \home\user\XX"..mkdir is the abbreviation of "make directory"

and so on..its important u know the commands to get an idea what you are doing..
