Hmm...I'm not sure about that...both rifles look the same to my untrained eyes...lolz...this is Zeta's:

and this is Rezel's

Minor differences la I guess...well...the Rezel was based off the Zeta...lolz
*
Larger pipe, slimmer but more integrated e-pac, the absence of the jutting sensor, no cartoony yellow parts.
Very minor details indeed, but it's those details that make Rezel's appear nicer.

Rezel, being manufactured in 2010/11 definitely has better joints and technology etc than the Zeta 2.0. It's also got a better internal frame. Whichever one you decide on; I don't think you'll be disappointed smile.gif

Zeta vs Rezel... Buy both. rclxm9.gif

YESSSSSSSS... Dreissen has a rocket bazooka !! The large skirt-armours surrounding the forearms would unfortunately cause problems for posing. Bazookas are already a pain to pose with normal kits, even worse with kits that have bulky forearm/chest armour.

Not even an MG Epyon will do for you?  laugh.gif

Few years ago, maybe.

But not now... The concept of Epyon is simply too bizarre - no ranged weapons. It is purely a sitting duck rather than the exaggerated speed monster that's being portrayed in the anime.

Tallgeese I's gladiator look and image of a "perfect" prototype MS appeals more to me.

The HGUC Unicorn series are much more interesting compared to the MG line. With the upcoming release of EP3, more and more grunt suits will be released, even the ones which are not well portrayed in the novel eg Dreissen. As the battle moves towards Earth we can expect to see Jesta, Ankusha, Zee Zulu, Banshee of course, previously unreleased units eg Galluss/Guncannon D/Desert Zaku/Zaku cannon, possible rehashes of old Zeon units such as Hizack Customs, Dom variants, Zaku Snipers... and then more space units in the finale eg Rozen Zulu, Jesta variants, rehash of Unicorn/Banshee etc.

It's great having an animated Unicorn, despite the fact that the novel version is much more interesting and much more elaborate.

So Gackt officially beats Setsuna at being a Gundam?  laugh.gif

Nope, the real winner is Barnage. Read Unicorn to know how.

Seriously? imma sucker for grunt unit wub.gif

It's speculation.

But from Bandai's past marketing strategies it'd be surprising for them not to milk profits from any currently-running series. They released almost every mecha variant from the 00 series; and with the Unicorn OVA garnering much success they would surely want to reap rewards.

Aww... too bad.  tongue.gif

Perhaps you're thinking a wee bit too much, bro?

If the actual kit looks good to you, just pick it up. It doesn't really matter if it doesn't have ranged weapons or if the rifle looks like a ridiculous electric guitar. Don't ponder too much on the concept. Just enjoy. At least, that's how i see it.  sweat.gif
I'm sure you mean Banagher, but is he called Barnage in the manga?  hmm.gif
Unlike G00 or GSD where there are numerous hero units, Unicorn has less. Hence, there are more cannon fodders grunt units for Bandai to produce. Logic.

I used to like any gunpla that looks cool, but after building gunpla and watching gundam animes for so long I've learned to appreciate the design concept, the implementation of gunpla technology, and of course the fictional history of a certain suit. Don't get me wrong - Epyon used to be one of my favourite suits but not anymore. Same with Justice Gundam.

Banagher Links is the English spelling used by Bandai and Sunrise in the Unicorn franchise. It used to be spelled unofficially by various forums as Barnage Linx during Unicorn's early days where only the Japanese pronunciation were present. Riddy/Liddy is now Riddhe instead.

Gundam characters often have names that sound different from their English spelling - the old MG Zeta manual spelled "Kamiyu Vidan" instead of the now-commonly used Kamille Bidan. Another more common example would be Athrun Zala which should Asuran Zala.

...and when the bus comes, you think the driver's gonna wait for you to keep your runners one by one?  laugh.gif
That's a pretty long shot. If i know anything about their strategy (i hope i do), they'll most likely release MG Tallgeese III only. B-Club will then provide Tallgeese I and II conversion parts for that kit.  sad.gif

*
Depends on whether the Tallgeese will make an appearance in the new gundam Wing novel, and if so, which variant.

Tallgeese III is probably the most famous (likely most popular too) version due the focus on EW models in Gundam W gunpla, hence it wouldn't be a surprise if it gets a release.

Tallgeese I has a special place in many gundam fans' hearts due to its awesomeness in the anime and clean design. And because of this, the release of Okawara's Wing who needs a rival suit, and of course Bandai's current lineup of first generation GW units (albeit in Katokified forms), it may lead towards an eventual MG release... I hope.

I'm hoping for a Delta Plus MG...sexy legs...Hyaku Shiki-ish design...man...what's not to love!!
*
What's not to love?

1. The replacement of the awesome Full Armour Hyaku Shiki Kai mega beam rifle with a generic Rezel rifle.
2. The replacement of the Delta Gundam shield with a phallic looking skinny shield that has 4 ugly protruding missiles.

Those two are the reasons why I refuse to buy any Delta Plus gunpla.

The shield imo is unique. A shield which doubles as a weapon like the Rezel's. Unfortunately, it seems quite a number of transformable suits have got a phallus for a shield (Zeta, Rezel, Zeta plus, Delta plus...), I don't know much about the Delta though so I can't comment on the shield.
*
Delta Gundam's shield looks like this:
user posted image

Looks nicer since it's a typical wide and flat shield, rather than the cone-shaped phallus.
The Delta Gundam also has a revised Hyaku Shiki rifle which has a longer barrel.

Looks quite nice actually...am I just imagining things or are the Delta/Hyaku Shiki actually bulkier a bit than the Delta Plus? If they released Delta in an MG HD version like they did the Hyaku Shiki...i'd be sold...lolz...also a bit curious about the origins of the Delta...it was a prototype but instead of realizing it they built the Hyaku Shiki due to some movable frame restrictions right. Was the Delta Gundam actually built during the UC timeline or did it remain a conceptual model only?
*
The Delta gundam was a concept.

The Delta Gundam was supposed to be the next generation transformable mechas by AE, but it was rumoured that the movable frame wasn't strong enough to withstand regular transformations. Hence the transforming mechanism was scrapped and the leftover designs were made into the Hyaku Shiki instead. It was never built, only concept pictures were present.

That's the in-universe explanation. In real life, the Delta Gundam existed only when modellers kitbashed their own versions mostly combining Hyaku Shiki with Zeta parts. It was only "officially" adopted in gundam UC as Delta Plus after becoming popular.

That rifle looks like it was "stolen" from Sinanju. The original Katoki design wasn't that rifle.  unsure.gif

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Actually it is. The scope is on the right rather than on top, unlike the Sinanju's rifle.

The very first design of the Delta Plus shows it carrying the FA Hyaku Shiki Kai's rifle. In fact, Katoki mentioned that he included that weapon since he didn't really design any alternative arsenal for the Delta Plus.

The linart that you posted are the refined designs produced after the decision was made to animate Unicorn.

Several other noticeable changes involving Unicorn mecha compared to the earliest Katoki designs are as follows:
1. Unicorn's head vulcans were not included in the linearts.
2. Sinanju's original arsenal only included beam sabres and the beam rifle. It didn't even have a scope.
3. Delta Plus's rifle issue as mentioned, and its shield was never shown. I remembered seeing it carrying the Delta Plus shield in one of the novel pictures though but I could be wrong.

I might have left out more.

For those who didn't manage to download Katoki Mechanics from the link I posted a long time ago, here's an alternative source: http://www.animepaper.net/gallery/pictures..._gundam_unicorn
