Sabah and sarawak different rate.

Sabah for first 500g is RM8.00++, almost RM9.00

They will using volumetric measurement when ur parcel is larger than a shoe size box.

Not every volumetric measurement is expensive, when ur parcel weight is heavier than the weight after volumetric measurement, then they will not using volumetric measurement.

i went to post things for several times, the staff only use volumetric for east msia.
a bit messy pos office and pos laju do things, each centre with different method. mad.gif vmad.gif
Pos laju local main centre seem dont use volumetric, maybe their workload larger. rclxub.gif

WM to Sabah is RM8 after tax etc for <500g.

They will charge either Volumetric or actual weight, whichever is higher. They won't always measure, but if it's a medium-large parcel, or it's something unexpectedly light, then they will measure.

Not all post offices or Pos Laju centers are standardized. I have been to a few different places and although I could be sending the exact same thing I usually get charged differently (or they don't dound up/down the 2 sen thing, or they don't give 5sen change etc.. after a while they can seriously untung a lot lo).

If there's a Mail Boxes Etc place near you, I suggest going there. All their outlets are standardized and they provide more and better service, for no charge (they earn from commision they get from Pos Laju)

Btw, if you're calculating from the website, don't forget that the rates on the website doesn't include tax and petrol surcharge, so you have to add another 25% if I'm not wrong..
