i am a lover for mud crab, and more often than not i prefer to cook the crabs myself rather than eating out.

the problem i have is buying the crabs as and when i wanted - meaning, occasionally i can get it at the wet markets near my place but it's sort of like sometime they have and sometimes they don't, hit and miss.

i would welcome recommendation of places where there is regular supply of crabs like daily basis, and good quality one. What i meant is, those that is good enough to be supplied to restaurant. Occasionally i bought from roadside stalls (those stand by the roadside with a big "crab" signage and a few baskets of crabs) but found the crabs are like the "rejected" batch. Those who regularly drive past Jln Kuching (between Kepong and MRR2 roundabout) would have seen those stalls.

So, if you know places that sell mud crabs on daily basis, pls help me!!!

Yeah those roadside ones are reject ones usually. its hit or miss really.

Do you where Selayang BIG wet market is?

Some roadsides one are not the captured but rather the bred type. If can get those caught from the sea one is the best ah.

i went there few times, could not find any. But then again, maybe i went late in the morning.

I used to buy crab from a shop near taman daya, selayang. The shop is importer and distributor of crab to the restaurants and traders. They sell nothing but crab. Now the shop moved and dunno where they relocated.

i remember someone was selling live crabs here in lyn... dunno still got summore or not..

anyway, would appreciate any info on this.. looking to get live crustaceans here too.

I have never gone there at midnight. So far best time is between 3 to 4.30 am.

used to have in pasar borong selangor.... now no more edy.... love to eat those things..... now i direct order from sitiawan coz theres one pak cik alwiz travel to n fourth sitiawan kl.....
