hi guys, i plan to buy laptop for my lil brother wt budget of below RM2.2K. it will b mainly used for photo/video/audio editing & some mild gaming. im thinking of getting AS3820TG-382G50. any1 using it? wud u mind to share ur tots on it pls. what r d color choices available for AS3820TG? HDD used is 5400 or 7200? cud sm1 point out which shops in LYP selling d cheapest. tengs!

already bought d 3820tg yesterday. 3820tg + 3yrs warranty = RM2220
so guys, just need to double chk, upgrading/changing d ram & hdd will not void d warranty rite? or will it void?

any1 using as3820tg-382G50NSS here? i wonder wether dis model has bluetooth module? when i try to install d bluetooth driver, windows prompted "no bluetooth module found"... but d specs on d box said dat it has bluetooth 3.0 + hs. can sm1 help me pls.

i installed d widcomm.
theres few selection of drivers available at acer download center but seriously i dunno which 1 to choose. even b4 i reformat d laptop, i unable to run d bluetooth application...

i think i screwed up all d driver installation . i cant install ati/vga driver etc...
any as3820tg-382G50NSS user cud list down which driver i need to download/install pls....

done that & theres no exclamation mark & bluetooth device nowhere to be found...

now i got d bluetooth running.
however, i still cant get d ATI card working properly like b4 (switchable) & when i installed d Intel vga driver (from acer) i got d Intel Turbo Boost installer instead.

& what driver is this? :
- AHCI_Intel_9.5.6.1001_Win7x86x64
- AMT_Intel_6.0.0.1179_Win7x86x64

2gb shud suffice.

- dont pay more than RM2370 for 4820tg
- dont pay more than RM100 for Acer Super Care 1 (extended warranty)
- ditch d lousy accessories to minimise d cost
- ensure d box is sealed

well, i bought 3820tg (RM2120) + Super Care 1 (RM100) from Evernew @ LYP.
i did went to AllIt, 3820tg @ RM2100 but they dont hv Super Care 1. Sri Computer selling 3820tg Rm2120 + 100 as well, however i opted for Evernew bcos there giving away additional bag (Windows 7 bagpack). So got 2 bags.

after meddling wt my lil brader 3820tg, now my hand itchy to get 1 for meself...
or shud i wait 4 a while, who knows acer might come out wt another revision of 3820tg dat come wt SandyBridge...

i oso quite confused on this matter as sm1 mentioned on previous post dat it will not void if upgrade ram/hdd. i did asked d retailer wer i bought my lil brader machine & was told dat it will only void d ram & hdd warranty. however, i took d liberty to call acer highpoint today to clarify on this & was informed dat it will void d warranty 4 d whole machine dang! i've upgraded my lil brader 3820tg to 8gb ram & 500gb momentus XT .
did sm1 here actually hv a machine wt upgraded ram/hdd sent for RMA & acer highpoint didnt void d warranty?
