Installation is a breeze, no need uninstall anything, just change to Discrete in BIOS, install, switch back to Switchable.

First thing I notice, my registry hack that enable MLAA is gone, along with all the tweak... i ll benchmark it once, then, tweak it again and test.

I just got my 3820TG few days ago, the i3-380m+6550M spec. I'm having this problem with these weird dots on my screen. When i play game with it, the graphics has alot of artifacts, stuff like long thorns, etc

I tested out the laptop in the shop, on first bootup it has this problem, but after installing the VGA drivers from Acer website, it fixed, so i went back home but after few days of use, it came back.

I tried uninstalling the driver, did a driver sweep, reinstall with 11.2 and all the VGA drivers available in Acer website, it still persist. However, i noticed that the spots arent there when i switch to intel VGA, during safe mode (with and without driver), and also with normal windows boot without any VGA drivers.

Any solutions on this?

One possibility is there is problem with the RAM in the ATI Graphic card... if you just brought it a few days (less than 7 days), i reckon to replace the unit...

cos got SSD.. hdd price drop.. for me expensive wor sifu.. wanna save $ buy banc watch v angel..

Synthetic benchmark with 3dmark06 indicates NO IMPROVEMENT between 11.2 and 11.4 Preview. I am still getting 7692 score (previously was 7691), that is actually on default setting, no tweak on registry, no MLAA option, no Advance AI, etc.

After tweaking to enable MLAA option, etc, I am getting 7604 (without MLAA enable). The slightly lower could be just due to temperature of the day (nothing to worry about)...

Will do a real game benchmark later... today has been busy at work...

Street Fighter 4 remain unchanged at 10164...

Dawn of War 2: Chaos Rising, score unchanged at average 25 FPS...

Just Cause 2: Unchanged at 36.8 FPS...

Dragon Age 2: Seem improve a little... but since 11.2 already getting above 30 FPS, it is hardly noticeable...

the use application setting still don't have the box appear to let us tick & untick.. u found out what problem? if i put b default w/o the mlaa option then the box will appear. but now ur case same like mine.. u maybe 1st get the box after u enable the mlaa option but after u restart ur lappy. it will be back to the same problem w/o tick icon! is it bug? the regedit line we type 31 but it auto change to 30!

Its like this, usually the SuperCare delay the activation by 1 week in case there is 1-to-1 exchange, but since this time its activated already, the SuperCare is tied to that notebook and if you want to 1-to-1 exchange, the new notebook won't have the SuperCare...

I posted this in another thread but look at the quality.

hmm, sorry, which tick / untick option? if you are talking about "Use application setting" checkbox, u no longer need it, since it is now in the "Dropdown" box, moreover, our current setting allow use to chose to "Enhance" or "Overwrite" the setting. It's not a bug, but it mean we correctly tweak it.

i saw that video too, but it is not as soft as in the video! it is just as hard as the current TimelineX... but to be frank, i have never try to press the notebook that hard, even in the demo unit... i feel... painful...

overall, the material used in the new TimelineX appeared to be the same plastic used in the current generation. build quality look about the same.

but the outline is definitely improved, i mean, the curve, the conner, the side, they all feel like 'leaner'...

oh ya, i check out all 3 USB slot, but they all appeared to be very normal with a separator located in the upper part of the USB... i even try to move that separator with my finger nail, but it wont move... not sure how it can be reversible...
