i have no idea why my temperature is 60/70 c with some surfing and flash games. its on ati graphics though. is this normal?

edit : closed my flash games and the temperature went down to 49 stable.

Is there a way to turn off Turbo Boost? I dont think i need the speed . Probably could also lengthen battery life with stock 2.67 ghz clock and reduce temps

i got an error during preparing part 2 of 6.

Solutions:
defragment your drive once after wpt installation and it will run flawlessly

how it work? i check the services is manual & stop for the turbo boost.. the bar i waited so long only move up once to 2.8 then gone.. what happened? mine still showing 2.53? how to test? i read liau still dun und.. 2 complicated bro..

It only goes up to 2.8 when u need it .

example : , ur playing a game , and u alt tab, u will notice that the bar is at 2.93 if im not mistaken,

it adapts to your usage, i wish it could downclock itself when im doing something else though, should save tons more battery

rawr!!! suddenly boot time is 55 seconds after the windows update last night even after the normal defragmentations. maybe i should run wpt again and that will fix my boot time i hope

To test if it can run 2.8GHz, run cpu test that only utilize 1 thread, e.g. wPrime, but set the thread to 1 only..

i bought my lappy few mths rarely use battery.. i keep 20% nearly 1 mth.. i goin to charge b to around 70%..

i dont think disabling Turbo Boost will reduce power usage. even if it will, the effect should be negligible... may be i m wrong

the Core series CPU actually downclock itself when you are not doing anything CPU intensive. my CPU-Z reports:

CPU Core speed: 1330.1 ~ 1330.2 when not doing anything intensive
