I read somewhere that we have to charge 18hours for the first charge.
Pretty crazy. But a lot of people did agree with that person.
Does anyone here do that?
*
Nope, that's crazy. I power it on as soon as I did some brief checking on the notebook. Cant remember if I plug in during power on. It's not important.

Also, there is nothing to worry about leaving it charging overnight. Will not hurt your battery. The only thing you need to worry is not to let the battery expose to high temperature (ie gaming with notebook for extensive period of time, etc)

I use the Acbel adapter everyday. 1 adapter @ home, 1 @ office, so, dont need to carry any adapter in my backpack when i go to office.

But whenever I need to travel for a few days, all I need is just my backpack, no bag to check-in, no need to wait for luggage on arrival. With this notebook, Acbel, Arc Mouse, an international adapter, a pen, some cloths, etc, off I go!

It's not only lighter, but what i like most is that it is very slim (and small of cause). Becoz it's thin, it hardly take any space in my backpack at all. I changed the default 3-pin to 2-pin plug, so, it is even smaller and lighter. biggrin.gif It is as light as it can be!

Do I notice any weight change? Probably not! Have not carry my original power brick for soooo long, cant remember the differences. sweat.gif

It is shorter than original cable. About 1.5meter from plug to adapter. From adapter to notebook just around 0.5 meter (estimated). If you dont move around on a table, the length is just nice. tongue.gif

Seems like almost the same length with my current adaptor, which is barely enough..

erm... I wanna ask about certain game problems in this machine, 4820tg,

current spec of my machine is

win 7 64bit
driver ver - from driver dvd
6gb ram

my main issues is, I wanted to play GRID, supreme commander, split second and dead space 2 but apparently, I get render artifacts when playing this games. I heard somewhere in other forums for this solutions but it needs atitools by ray adam installed but it failed to boot my machine due to the driver compatibilities.

is there any solution to these problems?

I tried 3 versions of the drivers, 8.741.1.5,8.741.1.6 and the latest one from acer support center, asia pacific. is it natural for the screen to go blank while installing the driver after uninstalling the previous one and restarts the machine manually?

I'm sorry if I bring this thing up again but I can't seems to find any solutions to this.

Why do you prefer Avast/Avira/MSE Lee?
I used Kaspersky Internet for my old laptop, downloaded one la but have to renew the key everyday haha.
You buy those AV's or download the trial versions?
