Viewsonic Android Tablet Announced


Viewsonic has announced a new tablet called the ViewPad 7. The ViewPad 7 is an Android 2.2 based tablet that has a seven inch screen, two digital cameras as well as plenty of connectivity.

For connectivity, it has Wireless, Bluetooth and 3G built in. The cameras are 3 megapixels for the rear and 0.3 megapixels for the front.

For storage it takes a micro SD card. GPS is also built in.

As well as using the built in 3G connection for getting online to check emails and browse, the 3G can also be used for VoIP and standard voice calls.

The 7 inch screen hasn't been detailed just yet although Reg Hardware estimate it will have 800 x 480 pixels.

Price wise, it will cost £350 when it lands in October.

wait.. i thought viewsonic is csl ? so isnt this the csl tablet?

i think its the same,csl just change the viewpad name and add some csl features

CSL buy from foxconn as OEM same as Viewsonic

is already available in china already if demand high i may bring some..
but must be android 2.2 ..

What is the measurements of it? Looks very thick and big sided

viewpad 7 == csl spice. so if you cannot get viewpad 7, just buy CSL spice mi700

Actually the 7" Android tablet is also known as Viewsonic 7, OlivePad, Wellcome A800, Camangi, Spice MI700 and etc throughout the rest of the world as all is OEM from Foxconn.

7" but 800 x 480 ? -__-?

it might be having problem on the pixels yet with this resolution, you can get the full support on the apps in market.
