QUOTE(gizmoduck @ Oct 20 2010, 10:04 AM) Don't forget how much it would also affect the fans. Team morale relies on fan support too. If the fans get wind that the 30-40 mil we'd get from the Rooney sale would go to service debts (or rumored to), surely the green and gold movement would be up and running again splitting camps and disrupting the team's concentration. I just hope that Rooney's change of mind is not affecting the others in the dressing room. There might be those who would start thinking that United is a team in decline and would start calling their agents this summer. A lot of writers are attributing Rooney's attitude to the fact that United has not shown much interest in the transfer market since the Ronaldo sale. Although SAF has repeatedly mentioned that he didn't see any value in it, it might have placed a seed in Rooney's mind that perhaps United doesn't have what it takes to compete with RM, Chelsea, Barcelona, and MC in the transfer market. His refusal to sign on August 14 coincidentally fell just a few days after the Bebe buy. Tell you guys what, we've sold the best of them before, we've rebuilt and gotten better. If it takes 4-5 years, or longer than that; even after SAF is gone and we're playing in the lower divisions. My kids, my grandchildren and me: UNITED FOR LIFE +1.

If roon thinks he is world class, I think he needs to be reminded about a certain number 7 just a couple of seasons ago. Who broke goal scoring records in one season. From mid field.
There is a place for Wayne Rooney. But there will not be a place for an ungrateful son. Players will come and they will go. Some stay a life time, some stay for a while. But there is still one man that carried us through all the times. That has rebuild squads after squads, changed players after players.
that man is, SIR ALEX FERGUSON. He is, the emblem of Manchester United Football Club

QUOTE Jose Mourinho admits he would love to bring Wayne Rooney to Real Madrid, but expects the unsettled forward to stay at Manchester United.
Rooney looks set to leave United after Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed that the England international wants to quit Old Trafford after refusing to sign a new deal at the club.
The news has sent shockwaves across European football and fuelled speculation where Rooney might end up going.
Real are thought to be one of the frontrunners for Rooney's signature if he does end up quitting Old Trafford.
Former Chelsea boss Mourinho admits every top club will be chasing Rooney, but he still fully expects the 24-year-old to remain at Old Trafford.
"My thoughts are he will stay," Mourinho told Sky Sports.
Belongs
"He probably wants to leave for some reasons, but I believe he belongs to Man Utd, he belongs to Man Utd fans, he belongs to Old Trafford.
"I believe he is going to stay
"But if at the end of day Man Utd decides that he is to leave, give me a call."
Asked if he would be interesting in taking Rooney to the Spanish capital, a laughing Mourinho said: "Everybody would be interested, but again I don't think so.
"I think and I wish because I like him, I like Sir Alex, I like Man Utd I believe the best thing for him is to stay there for life.
Asked if he was excited at the prospect of teaming Rooney up with Cristiano Ronaldo again, Mourinho remarked: "Yes, but he will stay at Old Trafford for sure." This post has been edited by razorboy: Oct 20 2010, 11:39 AM

The difference between Shrek Ever Ever after and Rooney is that, Shrek gets to go back to his former life after learning his lesson. Rooney? Can go F*** himself
*although they do look similar

QUOTE(coochiecoochie @ Oct 21 2010, 11:23 AM) I hated when CR left, but I had to respect that it was what he wanted to do. And at least, he did it with enough respect towards what the club and SAF had done for him. Added on October 21, 2010, 11:23 amIt was dong. Dong who? Dong FangZhuo?
