just my 2cent. If what is reported is true, n that rooney does not wanna play abroad, chances are he is gonna join our rival. (Namely either chelsea or city). No matter how i try to be optimistic, ultimately what will happen is we are gonna lose our talismatic striker, enrich our rival without getting the what rooney is worth (contract less than 2 years to go, summore have to pay 25% to everton), and the scarcity of like for like replacement in terms of quality. We will be consoling ourself by putting our faith on unproven player like macheda n hernandez to step up to the plate.
To be frank, if he really were to leave, we can say goodbye to the EPL trophy for the next 2 to 3 years as we enters a transitional period. I am not saying that without rooney, our team are crap, just that it paints a bad picture for the club, that one of our most influential player is leaving just as he is entering his prime. 4 of our influential player most probably retiring this summer. Our most recent transfer investment does not look rosy either, with the lack of investment on proven players. It might be a turn off for players.
Ultimately, man utd as a club will survive this fiasco with or without rooney, but hark ye, dark times are ahead. Anyone saying otherwise are either a fool or too optimistic
Wow. To think that Rooney's more influential than Keano.
i understand if people here express their anger and ranting over what has happened. not a problem
but
saying that i had never been a fan of player X and i am a fan of player Y sounds silly to me. why now? why not before? things like this is not appropriate
sorry, its just my opinion
Added on October 21, 2010, 1:18 pmnah was just messing with you.
kinda ridonkulous to see people suddenly coming out,
"I LIKE X BETTER, NOT XX"
I love Manucho, but I love Diouf even more.
what's the difference? both are away, continuing the legacy of Sexy Chocolate Black Man.

@ +Newbie+: totally agree on the spine part. every team has one stret line which consist of a GK, a defense, a midfield & a striker as the spine. the rest are cabang-ed out to supplement the spine. see chelsea for example:
cech-terry-lamp-drog.
ours? vds-vida-?-?
citeh? joe-kolo-?-tevez
ars? ?-?-cesc-chamakh(?)
*pls tolong fill in the blanks on the ?
gone abit off topic edi. read from local news earlier, seems like saf is ready to move on to life w/out roon already.
bye judas10, thks for everything. now eff off.
ever since kolo un habibul toure left, they've relied on that belgian defender. dear lawd i forgot his name. *main tipu* AH Vermaelen. he's been a consistent defender for Arsenal until he got injured.
i believe raul is still very much in all RM fans' heart. he's a legend, and i hope WR would be our legend too. seems like it wouldn't happen.
of course, because he didn't want out. he wanted to stay, but RM refused to let him stay (or renew his contract I think) so hence he's in Schalke now.
Rooney now, is unbelievable.
he's an iconic legend, even at such a young age, but he wants out. Ronaldo is a bit similar, but at least he never said he wants to leave. He just said he would like to play in RM.
Slowpoke la you Sheep, the gaffer already told us that before the WBA match but didn't expect it will be weeks again...... sooner or later we and Hargo will have a crucial decision to make......
I know la he won't be ready for WBA, but I thought it's his knee problem, how did the knee problem shifted to his calves!?

at least van Persie manages to come back on, this guy, PHEW, God knows when he will be back. He's like, what, 29?
not exactly Captain Obvious, but he's stating that Rooney's agent (who was also Cole's agent) was the one who influenced Rooney's mind, so that he gets more money in return.

sangat srowpoke my fren. Hargo case I actually thought his kepala tut still malfunctioning. Didn't know he has a new injury now. HOPE HE COMES BACK FOR C-CUP.

I also thought they make up stories about that scholes tackle.
seriously, I was like, "Ha ha so funny Scholes tackle Rooney say padan muka got injured then who ask you to say don't want to stay trololo"
I didn't know it was actually real. lol. Well, real in a sense that Scholes did tackle Rooney.
