QUOTE(DarkNite @ Oct 20 2010, 10:54 AM) So wats the criteria for a good gyne? They are all qualified but sometimes luck plays a very important role; and sometimes the gynae erred in delivery or misjudged the size of the baby. My baby injured his right arm during delivery by vacuum suction; some nerves were damaged; this condition is called erbs palsy. They are all good but some do have an attitude problem.

QUOTE(DarkNite @ Oct 21 2010, 02:00 PM) Sorry to hear about your baby's right arm. Hope he will be all right? He's a big boy now. Took him for physiotherapy 3 times a week a few months after he was born. He can use his right arm now but it is weak and not 100% recovered; never will be. Still considered lucky. Thank you DarkNite. Even the physiotherapy sessions were from our own pockets. Oh well...that's life. You win some; you lose some. This post has been edited by kefircurious: Oct 21 2010, 10:30 PM

QUOTE(nabelon @ Nov 7 2010, 01:10 PM) Holy shit, tought that Dr Quah is a doc full of experience. My son was delivered safely by Dr Shanker. Yes he is indeed. In my opinion the boy's arm looked deformed; may be not a result of injury during delivery as plexus injury can be treated. Was he diagnosed after delivery as having plexus injury? Did he undergo any treatment or physical therapy; and if so was there any improvement? If not did he undergo any surgery to correct the condition? Surely a baby born with plexus injury would be diagnosed immediately and the pediatrician would have advised performing the relevant therapy to arrest the condition; if left untreated the result would be a lifeless limb!
