Is it important to have the red book even if I don't plan to deliver in government hospitals?
*
i would say so.
some private hospitals ask for the red book.

and most private hospitals are not fully equipped or able to handle all the complications that may arise in the pregnancy.
so if a private hospital found a complication in the pregnancy, they will tell you, that you cant deliver there and refer u to GH.
Some dont even want to take ur case if u are giving birth before 37 weeks.

My friend once kena like this.
Actually 2 of my friends kena.
So referred to Gh and at the GH they have to wait longer because no red book that have their records.

But might be applicable only to illnesses i guess..
*
i think it depends on what coverage / package u take.

I’m also with Dr Low Khee Fei but he’s recommending either Kelana Jaya medical center or Tropicana medical center.

I google but past comments mentioned that his patients were all c-sect. Is this true? Or anyone had natural with him? If yes, which Hosp ya?

Thank you.

Since many here go to private hospital,  do you also check at gov hospital? If not, can you register your child later without the red book?
*
well, we did both.

actually for my wife, we went to KKIA, and also a private clinic. Then also a few times at a private hospital.

KKIA seems to be more comprehensive, but level of satisfaction and experience of doctors not so good la. its OK.

private? it depends, but i like the clinic i go to, and becoz my wife delivers in her hometown, we also go to the private hospital there.
really satisfied with both.

red book really helps the private hospital. they used that.
also, no need to do some other tests as KKIA did that already. save money.

also, KKIA will send someone to visit you at home, visit the baby as well after birth.

in my wife's case, we follow with KKIA in KL, then back in her hometown, they just transferred her files to the KKIA in her hometown for follow ups.
smooth, no hiccups.

Hey, my wife recently delivered there on the 18th. It was about RM 4,800+ which is inclusive of baby’s vaccinations and paediatrician consultation fees. It was an induced labour, so there were additional charges included.

Consultation and check ups were done in Alpha Fertility Centre with Dr Leong.
*
any painkillers used? or just induce?

Hi, does anyone here have experience with walk in delivery at Putrajaya Hospital?

My wife and I couldn't get a slot for FPP as they're fully booked and the nurse there told us to just walk in to the labour ward when it's time but she didn't explained further as she was swarmed with patients.

I'm hoping the otais taikos abangs kakaks here can share some input on the procedure of walk-in non fpp delivery at Putrajaya.

Thank you smile.gif

just make sure u have the pink book.
if not, easily direct u to other hospitals.
