If there is no complication, nurses will help in delivering the babies. Doctors will just come from time to time for checkup or if there is special needs. In our experience, everything went smoothly. We also arranged for epidural (epidural is only applicable during office hour due to anesthesiologist availability). Since my wife is government staff, we got second class ward, so better privacy. The only not so good is husband can't stay overnight and only can visit during office hour (before and after delivery), but once in labor room, husband can stay until the baby came out.

For recommendation, it's all about luck. Please expect the wards will be cramped with patients, especially the HKL mother hospital is still not open yet. It was full house during ours, we had to wait half day to get into the labor room as they are fully occupied and long queue.
