How come you guys got it so cheap at tung shin and even assunta? My first one cost three thousand for one night stay. Natural delivery with no epidural whatsoever. . That was in 2010.
This year went to tung shin hoping to get lower than that. Still stayed at three thousand cost. Both one night stay. Actually the second one could have left that dawn as I was so fresh and alert. Doctor came to visit in his morning walk costing some four hundred. Must be because my other half is a kwai loh.

Breast feeding is very important. Every hospital by right should encourage breastfeeding

I've been to assunta and tung shin. Assunta delivery team (not the doctor as I m totally natural with no epidural or induction) was great. Couldn't have it better tellin one to push and not wasting energy to scream. Which is important as one can just get lost in pain. The equipment was great too. Everything is efficient. laughing gas actually works. Delivery room is big with a couch for husband to rest while waiting. Important esp if it's your first as it took longer.
Tung shin equipment and nurses fell short. Laughing gas wasn't working. Only after third time when I asked for pethidine that the nurse released more gas. For first time r who didn't know what laughing gas like would be tough. Having to bear through the pain. Delivery room is so small. No chair for husband to sit. Almost like a bathroom size.
Also nurses and procedure are laughable. Food at tung shin is great exceed pantai or assunta.
As regards breast feeding I breast feed but I don't think it's that crucial if the first or second night one didn't breast feed.

Breast feeding need to be started ASAP. It would promotes bonding among the baby and the mother. In addition, it contains all the good stuff esp those early milk .. U dont want that to be wasted XD

would the early milk colostrum be lost if one doesn't breast feed the first couple of days? I don't think it drips out. in fact the doctor told me the first couple of days no milk, baby sucking to stimulate breast.
of course it's great to breast feed, but not if one just had cesarean. my boy would be starving if relying on my breast milk the first month. it's only the second third month that my supply starts to be adequate. breast feeding is convenient relative to preparing milk every couple of hours. but rest is more important the first month.
