All this while I am bringing my wife to KJMC for check up and all was going well. Now my wife is in her 38 weeks and the last 2 check ups I can see the doctor starts to frequently talk about C-Sec which make me feel the doctor is not genuine.
Of course the doctor will say this and that which make 1st time parents like us worried.
Just wonder is this a normal practice in private hospital?

Well KJMC have package for normal birth RM1990 and C-Sec RM5990. Of course there are T&C applies.

KJMC apparently does not support natural birth and the price listed is not fixed. There are loads of hidden charges.

Please read the below article and google for more as well. They have bad reviews in The Gentle Birthing Group in FB

indeed. if we do a google for this KJMC , you will realize most of the time the mother will end up with c-sect. mostly due to doctor scare tactic.

Yes just now only i read the same details in other blog. Lucky I decided to go ahead with PPUM although I kept it for an options only previously.
My wife safely delivered baby boy ob 7.09.14. If was a very normal delivery without using any special tools.
Total cost RM969 because admitted her 3times. 1 day baby movement not felt. 1 day bleeding and another day delivery. Went through some hassle but it really worth it.

I giv birth in hospital fatimah ipoh on 15th september 2014 by dr ng ngee keng from fairpark.the overall experience is nt bad. Normal delivery+vacumn+single room where hubby can stay together (ar 2k)+ baby injectiion n test ( ar rm400)...so the total bill is just rn2400. The food is very good(confinement food), midwife r friendly n responsible, n the dr is good n efficient n strict in a good weird way that aid in fast
delivery. Recommeded dr n hospital to stay..

Delivered at Prince Court Medical Centre again for my second child. I have opted for elective c-section but baby decided to come out early, so it was an emergency c-section. Stayed 4D/3N under Dr Paul Tay without any complications for mummy and baby.

Mummy's bill: RM8.2k
Baby's bill: RM2.2k

As usual, happy with the services, nursing care and facilities. A breast feeding friendly hospital. thumbup.gif

I haven't had time to look at the invoice yet haha. But it's still within expected price la.

my wife actually stay for 3 nights.
admit on monday night, discharge on thursday.

There's extra charge to deliver during PH, but from what the doctor say, it's only the c-sect operation team surcharge, mostly around RM300-RM700 (not sure the exact surcharge

Not sure, I think the money spent just to buy an assurance that my wife will be treated with care, before, during and after deliver.

I know gov hospital are not bad actually but with 8 out of 10 experiences we heard, the services is really bad and you know la, pregnant women tend to be emotional more. Heard a few thing already paranoid so no choice la.

Even some of the mother/new mother who just delivered there tell my wife about the bad experiences in gov hospital with their first baby and that's why they went private for their second one. (Manage to make some new/old mother friends there haha)

Hi All,

New to this topic,my wife is currently at her 3rd months for our first baby....just want to understand how it works between government hospital and private hospital..
My plan is actually go for private hospital or half private half government hospital, and I have shortlisted UMSC and Putrajaya general hospital, anyone has experience in there??and how much the cost?

Besides, I heard that to be entitled to government hospital, one must done her monthly checking at least once in the government hospital, issit true?

Thanks.
