**IMPORTANT** For your information.

I am pregnant and I have double Uterus. The high risk of double uterus is I might give birth a premature baby anytime from 6 months onwards.

For the risk of giving birth a premature baby in the private hospital can cost you a bomb. My gynae Doctor S. Raman from FETAL MEDICINE & GYNAECOLOGY CENTRE SDN BHD in JAYA ONE is such a kind and experienced doctor who advised me after my 1st visit, knowing that I have double uterus and he knows is going to cost me a bomb. He suggested me to also visit the government hospital incase the risk of giving birth earlier than 32 weeks.

** Not many women knows about if they have double uterus until they give birth at the 1st time. I was aware earlier for my yearly check up few years ago.

Before my visit to Doctor S. Raman, I also visited:-

Doctor Balwinder Kaur
Taman Desa Medical Centre
(I just walked in and do a check up since near where i stay)

Doctor Ng Kok Chong
Pusat Pakar Wanita & Kesuburan Ng
(Introduced by my friend, was told he is experienced)

Doctor Paul Tay
Prince Court Medical Center
(Introduced by my friend too)

I told them about my double uterus when I see them for check up. In fact, non of them told me about the risk and the cost of delivery.

I was thinking if is not too expensive, I would rather stick to Doctor S. Raman for my delivery. And he told me recently he delivered a premature baby in Pantai Bangsar, it cost the parents RM 500,000.00.

My cousin sister has a friend, unfortunately early this year she give birth to her premature baby in a private hospital ( I didn't ask which hospital) have cost them RM 800,000.00.

I am not necessary going to give birth early but I have to get prepare so I run around the Klinic Ibu Dan Anak, UM & UKM to log myself in. If I don't have a name in there, I will not be allow to deliver in their hospital at the last minute.

Doctor S Raman told me the cost of delivery premature baby plus medicines, equipments, care etc in the Semi government hospital (UM / HUKM) worst can be RM 20,000.00. I never ask about General hospital anyways.

P/S : UM appointments are very full. When I walked in 2nd of July 2014 (I'm was pregnant 3 months) to make an appointment. The counter gave me a date on 2nd October. Knowing myself the risk of giving birth, it may be too late so I try to beg for earlier appointment by mentioning the risk then finally i got revised to 22nd Sep.

Still Doctor S Raman think is too late. So he wrote me a letter ( to the doctor in Klinic Ibu Dan Anak about my situation) and suggested me to go to Klinic Ibu Dan Anak to log in myself, and let the doctor from there to write me a letter and refer me to the hospital instead and get an early appointment. Unfortunately they can only write me a refer letter of my situation to bring to UM/HUKM to make an appointment myself BUT they can make an appointment for you in General Hospital.

I choose to go HUKM and lucky after the counter saw the refer letter from the doctor (Klinic Ibu Dan Anak) and knowing my risk, thank god they gave me an appointment next day.

Hope this informations would help.

CODE

Hospital Name Here: Gleaneagles Hospital KL
Normal Delivery: RM6900 (total for mom + baby 5 days 4 nights with additional bed for me :p)
Vacuum: No
Cesarean: No
Baby Included: Yes
O&G Specialist: Dato' Alex
Comments: Dato' Alex was really professional and caring. He is not the type of doctor who is money minded. He will take personal care on his patients. Switching from Pantai KL (Dr.Premitha) was the best decision i made for my wife and baby. I find her a bit money minded but hey, that's my personal opinion and others may find this not true.We are seeing pediatrician Dr.Ananda (not by choice, he was the paed on-duty on the day my baby was born and we continued with him)  for now and everything is good so far although i find him a bit expensive but the charges could be standard and unavoidable, i'm not sure as this is my first baby. He is anyway still under my observation :-)
Picture of the room: Nope but the standard deluxe (single bedded) was a bit small.
